iPad Recent Verses

Hi Preston - and welcome to the forums.
Sorry, can you be a bit more specific please?
- Are you referring to the "History" function or the "Recent" option in the table of contents?
- Which of the Logos apps are you using and which version?
- Do you see this in all resources or specific ones?
Thanks, Graham

Graham - Thanks for replying. When I am reading my Bible in the Read application (left margin) at church, when my pastor for example, has us go to John 1:1 and later in his sermon has us go to Genesis 1:1 and then back to John 1:1, in the past I would press the top of my iPad screen and the window that opened up had three tabs, Verse/Content/Recent and I wold click on recent and a list of the most recent Bible verses visited would populate and I would just click John 1:1 and jump right to it. Now I need to tap the top of the screen, tap Verse, then Jn, (for the Book) then 1 (for the chapter), then 1 (for the verse). The list of most recent Bible verses visited is not updating.

Graham - I forgot to say in my previous reply, but I am using Logos 4.0.3 and I am in the read app.

I had this problem in the past. Logos did try to fix the things that might cause it.
Deleting the app and reinstalling often fixed the problem when I had it.

Preston, when I tap the four line icon to the right of the reference box I get this screen. Can you verify that is where you are tapping?

I see the "recent" section of the TOC now. I have never noticed it before.
I concur with Todd. If closing the app via the multitask bar doesn't work, nor a full shut down of the device, you might want to try a delete and reinstall. NOTE: you will lose your downloaded resources.

Thanks All - Todd thanks for your suggestion, deleting and reinstalling worked. After reinstalling, the Recent tab now shows the recent Bible verses visited. Alabama24 thanks for your caution

Hi Preston,
A quicker way might be to use a two-finger swipe (left and right) to navigate within a pane. For example, if you open John 1:1 and then navigate to Gen 1:1 (in the same pane), you can two-finger swipe left to return to John 1:1 - and then two finger swipe right to get back to Gen 1:1. This method also works with guides, text comparison, etc.

No, but here's a rundown:
- two finger horizontal swipe (left/right) = navigate to/from recently viewed items
- two finger hold vertical swipe (up/down) = in reader view, scroll the text up/down
- one finger down swipe = in reader view, invoke the reader controls
- one finger up swipe = in reader view, invoke the action menu
- one finger hold (on a word) = in reader view, invoke the context menu0 -

Is there a place where additional swipe information is found?
