I will write up a case for our dev team about this.

Yep. Always good to have a choice. It still doesn't hurt to read the verse anyhow.

I agree it's good to have the choice for those who want it, but for me seeing the verse of the day graphic on my iPad is one of the triumphs of the update. It looks awesome!

Yes please. Let us turn it off. The graphic is gaudy and intrusive.

Let's get the option to revome it on Android too! While you're at it, quit forcing us to go to "Home" on app startup. Recient changes are not appreciated.

Since these are Android comments, it would be best to post in the ANDROID forum.

(Sorry if this doesn't add to the forum but instead to a specific post) I'm a newbie to Logos, but I agree with the train of thought on this forum and hope an answer emerges. I am kind of obsessed with Logos. As a mac user I originally purchased accordance, which was ok for a while, but then they realized that they could charge outrageous prices for students and pastors to use texts that are in the public domain. I finally had enough and switched to logos, which (unlike accordance) is also excellent with latin. Accordance is to Logos what a slide ruler is to a computer.
Anyway, it's an amazing program for a phd student and/or a pastor (i'm doing both). My one complaint is the home screen, especially on the iPad. It's busy and cluttered. I have already made the main program boot to a saved session, but it would be nice for the iPad to do so also...i really don't care about the verse of the day or ads, and since I paid out of pocket I think I should be able to get rid of those.

Verbum (iOS) user here, with another vote for a toggle option on the verse of the day image.

btw it isn't showing the rest of your post...0 -
I believe that the Verbum app adds some of the Faithlife functionality, as well as caters to a Cstholic audience. If I were Catholic, it would be my choice for primary app...
FYI - With logos, you pay for the resources and data sets, the software is free. You can utilize as many of the Logos family of apps as you would like. You should be aware, however, that due to iOS rules, the Logos apps do not share data. In other words, downloaded notes and resources are not shared between apps.
