Being in seminary I have found the Turabian annotation feature of Logos quite helpful in Word. Any chance we could get this option for Pages since this is a solid word processor for Mac?
I assume L4mac will have built in support for Pages and other iWork products, so I am with you 100% on this request.
mee too... great idea!
Thanks for bringing this up. I'd been wondering actually why it's not included. If they design it for Mac, it just makes sense to have this feature included.
The problem is with Pages in that it doesn't support automated footnotes as Word and Mellel do.
For academic work and writing, Pages falls short in this area and as a consequence, I have to use Word, though I have heard good things about Mellel.
I thought this was fixed in Pages '09. It now works with EndNote X for footnotes.
Joe, it was not fixed in Pages '09. It's not even technically a fix; it's simply a feature that other word processors have that has never been added to Pages. More than likely Endnotes has a runaround script or routine for the issue to make it work with Pages, much like Joe Weaks' script to make Accordance citations work with Pages.
Terminology aside, since there are two other programs that can make this work, I assume anyone can do it so I hope Logos mac can add their own workaround to allow for footnotes.
will be praying for this... [;)]

I really hope that Logos 4 Mac will work with Pages. I prefer to use Pages for writing because of all of the other features. When I create lesson studies for my church I like to be able to use some of my photos from Logos (i.e. BAS: Biblical World in Pictures) and Pages is definitely easier to use when inserting photos and graphics.
One thing as a temporary workaround I'm using when I want footnotes, use Word for Mac to capture your quotes/notes in Word for Mac (Here's what it looks like)
Text
Then when you copy/paste into Pages you can add additional text with footnotes (if your in Seminary an example would be a Journal Article from ATLA)
Pages will still realize that when you paste quote 2 it should be footnote 3)
So this is a work around, it takes an extra step but at least you don't have to try to renumber the footnotes in Pages.
My vote for Pages as well, though I would like to see support for Mellel. The guys over at Redlers seem very responsive and as a program nothing is better than Mellel for academic work (though it takes a little getting used to). Redlers has done a fantastic job with Bookends and they welcome integration with their program.
I only use Word when I have to and would much rather spend my time and money with iWork and/or Mellel.

I better not see anymore posts about this.[:D]
