If I type a verse into the title section of a note, say John 3:16, it is not recognized as a hyperlink to a Bible verse. I tried putting a space after it, I typed the exact name, tried some simple ones, no luck.
Hi Don
I've just tried this and it works fine - but I am running the latest beta and don't know if that's relevant. I'm running on Windows.
Which version of Logos 5 and which operating system are you using?

Hi Graham, I am on Verbum 5.2 SR-4 (5.2.0.0110).
I see what I did but it raises other questions:
1. I typed "John 3.16" because that is converted to a scripture verse in other parts of Logos/Verbum. Here I have to type John 3:16 (with a colon) for it to be recognized. I can then hover over it while inside the note, and it is recognized. BUT ----
(a) it appears if I do basic search of entire library, so Notes will appear, it does not find <John 3:16>/
(b) I can also search for "John 3:16" as text and that is not found either.
Are notes' scripture verses not recognized in search or am I doing something else wrong?
It does for me - but I am running 5.2a Beta 1
Maybe this is a Verbum-specific issue.
I don't have that but hopefully someone who has will be able to check
That works for me too - you are inside that note. Try clicking on "Compact" and then hover over it.
Hi Don.
I am experiencing the exact same bug (regular Logos 5 on Windows 7).
At first I thought I was doing something wrong, since I am fairly new to Logos. It seemed like it should work, but typing in the verse never worked.
I gave up and went with a workaround - right-clicking on the verse in a bible and selecting "Create a Note" from the context menu. It's an extra step if I'm not already on that verse, but it works as expected and shows up in searches.

Would you mind doing the following:-
Here ya go - it did find the new note though.4087.Verbum.log
it did find the new note though
So Mat 3:5 was recognised as a link (it would not have found mat 3:5)!?
