Personal Books (PBs) accessible from Android tablet?
Are PBs created in Logos 4 on a PC currently accessible from an Android tablet?
Specifically, from either:
a. The Android Bible app, AND
b. The Android Vyrso app
I'm looking at buying an Android tablet, and I'm wondering if my PBs will be available on it.

Welcome, Eddie, to the Logos user forum!

Unfortunately not. Logos have told us that they intend to enable syncing the PBs in the future, but that's not here yet.

Thanks. What I'm really trying to avoid is having TWO apps on my Android tablet for accessing books --- one for my Logos library, and one for my non-Logos books (either public domain epubs or books that neither Logos nor Vyrso offers, so I have to buy elsewhere).
We're still a long way away from having one app that will do it all.

I know that this is an old topic, but personal books can be shared across computers as long as it is within the same (Windows) platform. I created personal books on my desktop and they are available on my windows tablet. However, they are still not available on my android tablet. Maybe in a future release?

Hi Jeffrey,
Personal Books are not yet available for iOS and Android mobile platforms. We do hope to add this feature although I don't know when.

It would seem the personal book thing is quite a challenge. Here is a different take on the same idea. Instead of having an app that mames personal books that are only useful on the PC it was made with, why not offer personal books that actually become resources. An online tool that users of Logos and Verbum could submit their PB or whatever to and the result would be to have a resource created from it and have it added to their library. No more PB file to worry about, no more how do I get it to work on Android or IOS.
It may even open the door for a cloud service where customers could use Logos to back up all their resources and for a small yearly fee Logos would host and generate the resources custom designed by the user.

Hi Tony - and welcome to the forums
Personal books are considered as resources and are available in your Logos library after compilation. The current limitations are:
- they are only available on the desktop / laptop platform
- they need to be compiled on each such platform on which you wish to access them
Logos are working on this and we have seen some initial indications of this in the current beta cycle.

If I understand you correctly this will be provided in the work which Logos are doing and - to the best of my knowledge - without any additional charge.
There has been some discussions about providing a storefront so people could sell their personal books to other but that's a separate issue.
We haven't yet seen any indication of when this will be available on the mobile platforms - the desktop synchronisation needs to come first - but it is part of the overall plan and will provide what it seems you are looking for.
