The download for this beta went well. Tap to install on the original kindle fire, after the install is over I get a message telling me the application needs to force close. Now the app will not even open.

i deleted the app and tried to reinstall same message.

Ah, I'm sorry. It looks like there's a bug where some devices can't access the product logo image that appears on the sign in screen, which is what's causing the app to crash as soon as you open it. I'm out of the office right now, but I'll try and get a fix figured out later tonight and we'll see if we can ship a new beta that will fix things for those of you who are affected. Sorry again for the inconvenience! [:(]

No highlights are showing. They are there but the actual highlighting is not appearing on this update. I know they're there because if I tap on text that is supposed to be highlighted, in get the edit highlight option.

The error won't go away until we publish a new beta that fixes the crash. We've fixed the startup crashes already and the plan is to push a new beta tonight that includes that fix. Then tomorrow we'll address the highlights & copy text issues and get a beta out with that as soon as we can. Sorry for all the disruption guys...this beta has a LOT of under the hood changes, especially to the resource display engine and it seems we didn't test it thoroughly enough before releasing the beta.

Beta installed. How do I tell the app to only download from Wifi? Don't want to kill my data plan. Cannot seem to find the setting, if it was ever there.

1. Text copy doesn't work. I can highlight the text but the copy button does nothing.

2. Highlights are not showing.

3. Navigation seems slower.

Using Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Android v4.2.2 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android v4.3

Bible App, Study Bible App, and Vyrso App - Startup and navigation is slower (much slower on Tab 2).

Other issues are already reported in this thread, no sense in repeating them, however I can confirm them to occur on my devices as well.

Love the fact that Logo's is so active in updating the Android app. But I'm still very surprised that the annotation / document search hasn't gotten any attention. On my Google Nexus 5 and Samsung Galaxy Tab it is honestly useless. It may be because of the devices I'm using but no matter what search filter I use the results are of no real help (see screen shot). I may be wrong but I think the point of a filter / search function on any e-readers is to have the ability to see a small snippet of the text and maybe some keyword tagging which allows the user to reference their annotations in a useful manner. Hopefully this is something on the raider but so far no progress from what I'm seeing.

Results like this really don't do me (or anyone) any good

(where's is the verse ref, where's is a small snippet of the text highlighted, maybe some keywords that would aid in filtering topics in the specific highlight)

Have you tried the (I think new) Highlights tool? This seems to provide much more what you are looking for

The verse references are only available for downloaded resources. We currently don't have a way of looking up references for highlights in remote resources.

I open a Bible & then open a split screen to open a second resource. When I click the resource title of the 2nd window to change the resource the app crashes every time.

Thanks LaRosa. Like I mentioned before, there are some pretty big changes that happened to our resource display engine for this release, so information like that is very helpful for tracking down all the bugs.

Yeah the new highlights tool is pretty nice, would still love to be able to tag annotations with key words and see the bible verse. But like the fact that I get a snippet of the text.

This is a known issue with this beta. We're working on fixing it right now and hopefully we'll have a new beta very soon.

Known Issues

- The following Reader View Context menu items do not work: Copy, Info, Search and Share
- Editing notes can sometimes cause a crash
