Logos on Nexus

I am considering buying a tablet (Nexus 7 or KindleFire) to use Logos on.

I am a bit confused as I have never had a tablet.  If I go with Nexus what version/app of Logos will run on it and what are the basic features of Logos that will be available on the tablet?

Will I have the bible study tools that come in the free Logos Windows software? Or more or less than that?

    Hi Ms. Long (Linda)

I had the Nexus 7 briefly and then sold it.  Then Logos developers did some amazing things with their Logos Menu recently so the android version works well on the Nexus with some features we all long hoped for.  In short, Nexus 7 and Logos is good (some used to reading my more negative reviews just fell off their chairs.)

Quite a bit of the Windows version remains intact on the Android to be used on the Nexus 7 (perhaps someone else will tell you precisely what or point you to the video online for further instruction).

I tended to goof off on the Nexus 7 in other...less Biblical ways (movie reviews, news reading, etc.) so I opted out of it. I do not like the large top and bottom bezels on the device either.

I keep hoping for a good Windows 8.1 device to run Logos on...but that's another string and I traversed that path too long too well last year.

God bless whichever purchase you make but of the two I would say Nexus does more.

I also use it on a Nexus 7. Its great if you are online, but take it to church and there are no library resources.

Would strongly suggest you go for the 32GB Nexus 7 model and avoid the 16GB

Price difference is small: you cannot add memory later...

and you will need all that extra space for books (etc)

........ videos for mobile ed work great on the high resolution screen too.... [:)]

I have a nexus 7, 631 downloaded resources, 2.67GB of storage. I love using the app.

You can only use passage guide, Text comparison and word study tools when you have an active Internet connection. But you can download resources for use offline.

You can use a split screen to view your bible and another resource, and link the screens to scroll together. I have found that most of my library is available in the mobile app.

My wife has a kindle fire. It is about the same.

Hope that helps. If you have specific questions please ask.
