Notes Document title
When I make a new notes document, how do I give the document a title? I'm sure it must be right in front of my nose but I can't see it.

If I understand your question correctly it is simple. All you have to do is select the "pencil" then type your title into the highlighted field. If this isn't helpful your question needs clarification.

Forgive me. I did not notice you posted under ipad/iphone. If your question deals with the iphone platform I have one and I know how to achieve the task on this product. I don't have an ipad so if this is what your request centers around please state that and someone else will chime in.
For the iphone there is a stylized pencil icon appearing after "Sort" reading left to right, select it you will then be guided to the "untitled note" page it will have a flashing cursor. You may now title your note. Hope this helps.

My question is about titling the note document, not the note.

Hi James
When in the note editor, there is a document selection box towards the bottom of the editor
If you tap that you are shown a list of current notes documents. In that panel there is a "+" in the top right which you use to create a new notes document.
In that panel there is a text box allowing you to enter the "New Document Title"
Does this help?

Yes, thank you. It not not only answers my question, but the method is so obscure it helps me not to feel so obtuse. ;-)

Another (perhaps simpler) way of doing this: If you want to edit an existing note document, just open that note document and tap the "Edit" button in the very top right of the screen. The title of the note document will change into a text field and you can edit the title and click "Done" when you're finished to save it.

wow! you gave me the answer to a question that has been bothering me. Now, can you tell me how to delete a note?

How do I delete untitled notes? During this rather steep learning curve, I've created a number of untitled notes that are empty and I would like to remove them from my document list. Thanks so much for your help. I've spent literally hours trying to learn just basic navigation. I've had very little success doing searches in forum.

Hi Margery - and welcome to the forums
How do I delete untitled notes?
In the Documents menu, press on the document name and "drag" to the left. A "delete" button will appear
I've had very little success doing searches in forum.
Best approach is to use Google to search the forums - see https://wiki.logos.com/Using_the_Forum#Searching_the_forum_using_Google for details
And, in general, it's best to start new threads for new questions. That way they are liable to be seen more quickly

Thank you, thank YOU, THANK you! It's so easy...when you know it. I was dragging to the right instead of the left. [sigh]
Thanks for the link for doing a search. I will do as you suggest...start a new thread. I hated to do that if the question has already been answered, but if it is easier to see the question, makes sense to do it in a ways that puts it at the top.
I see you have thousands of posts. I very much appreciate your expertise and willingness to share it. :-)
