Automatic resource updates

It seems like resources I have downloaded to my various Android devices never receive automatic updates. I have one tablet with almost 4,000 resources downloaded to it, but has not had any resource updates in several weeks.

A case in point. The Vos Reformed Dogmatics, an in-progress translation project, was updated a few weeks ago to include new material, volume 2. I waited 2 weeks or so and the Android devices I have it on never got an update, or any other updates for that matter. I tried shutting the devices down and restarting them, figuring perhaps that would force a resource discovery event and result in the updated resource being downloaded. Nope.

So I checked one device to be sure it still only had volume 1, then Iremoved it from the device and downloaded it again. Onlythen did volume 2 appear on the device.

Are downloaded resources on our Android devices supposed to auto update, or is that a future feature?

They should appear in the android library automatically and usually immediately..maybe the vos vol. 2 was a quirk or the system isn't working correctly. this doesn't answer why it happened though. Hope that helps. ChelseaFC

New items show up, that's not an issue. In the case cited the volumes are combined as a single resource rather than each volume being an individual resource.

Thanks Randy. I don't have an answer, but I'd assume it's supposed to update regardless of whether it's a single volume or not. Maybe a developer of the Android app can help or someone like Graham Criddle could chime in.
