Prayer list on mobile devices
Hi!
One of my favorite tools in Logos 5 is the prayer list. It would be really handy to get this synced to mobile devices. Does anyone know whether this is possible (and in that case: how.?)

Agreed. This would be very helpful, but it is not yet a supported function for Logos mobile apps. Syncing prayer lists across computers and mobile devices would be quite useful.

Something for the developers at Logos to think about when planning for updates?!?! :-) I would highly appreciate it! As a pastor, my phone and iPad are always with me - my computer is not. Having the prayer lists with me would be a great help!

There are petitions on UserVoice, both on the Logos5 page:
and the lesser known, mobile specific page:

After voting for it on UserVoice I came to ask myself why it is important to me to have this functionality in Logos – not why I need it at all, but why I want it to be precisely in Logos. Other than "It is nice to have everything in one place" there is no reason. There are plenty of apps that provide prayer lists on the mobile phone, and do it much better than Logos currently does it on the desktop. I could use one of those apps. We all can, and then Logos can focus on functionality that really matters to Logos.
Having said that, I still think it is nice to have everything in one place. And I also think that the prayer list in the desktop app is too limited.
One tip for the road: On your mobile phone, open the browser, navigate to documents.logos.com and view your prayer list from there.

Wow. Did not realize that functionality existed! Thank you all for continually educating us.

It is sad since this is one of the features they promote with FaithLife and the ability to have group/shared prayer list. I know it's still in beta but it's hard to convoke people or groups to use faithlife.com for a church or a group when some of the functionality that would be key in a group does not work across mobile devices.
Sakarias, this is the main reason I want prayer lists in Logos and the Faith life app. It's ability for a group to share and collaborate on study/notes/discussions/prayers.
God Bless,
Stephen

You can view and update the prayer list from there. That's a solution that's available on the iPad and other mobile devices with a browser. Thanks!!

How do you edit notes with the iPad?

Splashtop does have an ongoing subscription fee of $1.99 per month or $16.99 per year. Other remote desktop / screensharing products with an iPad app would also work for operating Logos 5 on the desktop. However, I do like Splashtop with its touchpad mode. However #2, use at your own risk and discretion.

It seems to me that a platform of the future for the full Logos 5.x application might be a hosted virtual desktop in the cloud. Users then could use any type of mobile or other computing device (iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry browser, etc.) to access the virtual desktop with full Logos 5.x installed and configured for the individual user with full library and features.
Pricing for virtual desktops is currently not so cheap and more than what I've paid for simple LAMP web hosting so the obstacle appears to be cost and not technology.

Your posts seem like spam... But they don't. Are you a real Logos user? If so, please keep threads on topic and within the forum guidelines. In this case, a question was asked about prayer lists. I noticed that you did provide an on topic reply in early December. Your next post, however, seemed like spam (although I don't think it was). If you would like to interact with other users about the subject of cloud computing, please look for a more appropriate thread (or create your own).
Out of curiosity: How long have you used Logos? [:)]

I didn't view my posts as spam. I'm sorry if they appeared that way. I was a bit excited about Splashtop and other tools that would allow me to have full functionality and full control of Logos 5 running on a laptop from an iPad or other remote device. The only problem with the solution was that it required me to keep my laptop with Logos 5 running (and not in sleep mode) while I accessed it from my iPad.
I have been a Logos user since September 2013 (but my experience with the Logos forums is much less than my experience with Logos itself. :-).
I did create a thread in the forum for iPhone / iPad forum but I did not see that I could create a separate forum for Remote Desktop / screenshaing solutions or potential future Logos platforms such as new types of cloud computing solutions. Logos does already provide capabilities via the cloud.
The Suggestions forum had threads on books and content but I didn't see it as a good fit for discussion of RDP, screensharing or alternative hosting. The iPhone/iPad can run Logos for the iPhone/iPad but it can also be a gateway to software and content hosted on other devices.

I am writing this via my iPad, Splashtop, and my laptop hardware at a remote location. I did some maintenance from here to my Logos 5 Prayer Lists and added a prayer item for Logos Forum Communities. :-).

Cool. I know that splashtop would be a good solution for some users. Thanks for sharing. [:)]
