Most commonly used adjective for God in OT
I am preparing a sermon on love and its centrality and was wondering whether 'hesed' was the most common adjective in the OT for God (all names: YHWH/Adonai...). I wondered how to search this in Logos. I thought the results would be very interesting e.g. if another characteristic was first and not 'hesed' or even if it gives different results for different names of God. Anyway, need some help thinking how to construct this search so any thoughts welcome!

Let's widen that to nouns applied to God (just realised 'hesed' is a noun not an adjective ... )

A general query is quite difficult as hesed is a noun, not an adjective, but the following Syntax Search will give an idea with a search for hay (living) and hesed. The former actually has 13 occurrences to 20 for hesed.

Yeah, that seems like I've got to get stuck into this Syntax search malarky. I tried what you suggested and got stuck on the part of speech:noun which I couldn't work out. However, I suspect I need to go back to Syntax search formulae to try to work them out again. I had got somewhere with MJ Smith's reading list a year or two ago, but think I need to pick it back up again. Thank you for your thoughts anyhow!

Under Parts of Speech you start by typing @ (as per Morph Search). Also, replicate the dotted line connector by right-clicking the box and selecting "Matching skips levels".

Thanks for your help Dave - I've got that sorted and will try to brush up on my use of syntax stuff as I can see it's very helpful once you know your way round it!
