Remotely Control Laptop or Desktop With Logos 5 From Your iPad

Logos offers multiple apps for the iPad.  I use them and like them.  They include: Logos Bible, Vyrso, Faithlife Study Bible and Bible Screen.

Another way to use Logos on your iPad is to remotely control your laptop or desktop running full Logos 5 from your iPad.  There are a variety of tools that will allow you to do that.

These search terms will help you to find tools like that on a search engine like Google or Bing: control laptop with ipad.

Enjoy.

I think "Go to my PC" is one though I've only heard ads for it.

First, welcome to the forums. [:)]

For clarification: These apps aren't associated with Logos and aren't for the explicit purpose of utilizing Logos. These apps are for gaining remote control of your desktop (or laptop computer), and you are able to view your desktop apps.

Personally, I would not be inclined to use these apps... but your needs might be different than mine. If I needed portable access to L5, I would use my MacBook. L5 isn't designed for touch screens, and a 13 inch Laptop screen is as small as I would want to go. I use the Logos mobile apps daily for reading, taking notes, and highlighting. Anytime I need to do "research," I would want something bigger than an iPhone or iPad.

I know that one person got very exited by Parallels Access, I tired it after my upgrade to Parallels 9.0 (it came with 6 months free P A) but had no luck with it, my internet is via satellite and is not fast enough to work in an even slightly  usable manner because it will not go over wifi but requires it to go through their servers.

Parallels Access is a good program but you have to pay for it. I have used Splashtop and would recommend it for those who want full Logos usability from their iPad. It is free.

I took a screen shot of each program and posted it a while back here. There is other interaction in that thread over the two programs.

I don't find myself in need of Splashtop very often as I usually have access to my laptop.

Shown below is screenshot from iPad showing Logos 5 running remotely on my laptop with activity from Favorites, Prayer Lists, Highlighting and more.

The iPad with remote access tool is useful for accessing your laptop running at home from a recliner, automobile, restaurant, or wherever you have an internet connection.
