Bug: Tag not saving

Mark to verify, are you asking the tag to just be saved? or saved and applied as a tag when you click outside the tag field?

What is the difference? "saving" a tag should automatically apply it to the resource, shouldn't it? If not, I don't understand the proposed workflow.

I also find "clicking outside the tag field" laborious. My preference would be clicking "enter", with another tag field automatically opening up to add another tag.

The less a user switches from keyboard to mouse the better

It's a subtle thing, but the box closes when you click outside and you see Add tag or Edit in its place. If you then click  the link the box opens with the "saved" value showing!

I am not trying to be argumentative, but what is the point of clicking TWICE when you can hit a (Enter) key once? Not mentioning the extra movement of the hand from keyboard to the mouse. Seems to me like a step to 1980s

This is fixed in Beta 4.

I apologize but this was not fixed in Beta 4. 

It is fixed in 5.2a Beta 5: Clicking outside of the tag field will now save and apply the tag to the resource.

Does not work in 5.2a Beta 5 Mac. Clicking outside the tag field within the Info window only causes the suggested tag box to disappear. Clicking outside the Info window does cause the tag to be applied.

I'm sorry Jack but this behavior is apparently a known limitation of the Mac design. [:(]

The text fields do not give up having focus by just clicking anywhere in the UI (Behavior on Windows), but something else has to take focus from them.

For example: Click in the Information panel to edit the title or the short title or the series and then click outside of those fields. Notice that they do not give up focus either. You have to click in another panel or text field that will take the focus away.
