An interesting article from Christianity Today on the future of Bible Software. It includes lots of quotes from the LOGOS team and others on the forums.

Agreed. I read the article a while back and thought it was good to see Logos getting some press.
Daniel, thank you for posting the link to the previous discussion.
Very interesting! Funny, I use Logos every day for sermon preparation, but I use a print Bible for devotional reading. … and there's nothing quite like the feel and smell of a leather binding and feel of fine paper.
cf Colossians 3:16

Sorry I missed the earlier article. My wife and I were in the midst of a Caribbean cruise celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary when it was posted - with this coming at the beginning of our two week trip (AMTRAK + Cruise), I did not go through all the previous posts. Thanks for the link to the previous comments.
I too enjoyed this article. Great to see Logos getting some more publicity.

How true but I'm afraid the next generation may not experience the same thing.
I agree. However, I feel like I'm getting pretty close when I put a leather cover on my tablet.[:D]
I love the Logos Android App. Thanks, Logos[Y]

I admit I like the look feel and smell of real books, but I almost never use a paper Bible, on my prayer desk I have my NOAB 3rd Edition that I use a couple times a week but almost out a feeling of guilt, it is sitting there it must be used.

I liked Bob Pritchett's comments on academia and informal education. [8-|]

For the next generation it may well be the smell of a lever cover and the feel of Gorilla glass.
Our family never used Bible covers (and for an iPad Bible??). In fundementalist-land, that was something the 'liberals' did (who would soon enough realize their mistake unfortunately).
Now, my Dad, after each iteration of wearing out his Bible, would go in his shop and carefully replace the original covers. That was fascinating on those funny hidden strings. But the ASV with his notes remained inviolate.
For me, the smell of the ink (I assume) is the perfect memory. As you open to a new page, the aroma wafts out saying 'Read me, read me!!'.
Ah, you must be referring to the good old days when Bibles were actually bound and printed in the United States.
Because we all know the US is the center of God's plan for the end times. [:D] Personally I am looking for a time when ALL nations surrender to the Lordship of Christ. Rev 4-5 seems to diminish the importance of local governmental/geographic entities.
