Accessing Logos 5 from another desktop program

Hello,

Long time Logos user, way back to early Libronix days!
I just started using a program called The Brain, a new mind mapping software. It allows file attachment, web links, etc. Is it possible to link to my favorite Bible or possibly other books from a program like The Brain? It would be really handy to be able to do so, instead of doing the workaround of copying and pasting into a Word document, for example, and then linking to that document.

In some operating systems - such as Windows 7 and 8 - you may use links to logosres:.... (like you will find here on the forums or in the readinglists on http://topics.logos.com ) to link to passages in Logos resources. Clicking the link will invoke L5 and open the respective location in the document.

I understand that in some other OS this may not work reliably all the time - there is a workaround through manually curated links that will work even there, provided you have internet access when calling the link (there's a thread dicsussing this feature). Alternatively, if you can presuppose internet access, you may link to the resource on http://biblia.com or http://bible.faithlife.com

It works reliably on the Mac, just need a little manipulation. Plus this message uses the default browser for a redirect link. If you are interested, I will search for Bradley's post that describes the operation. I use it regularly from MS Word.

Thank you all again! I just tried using the copy as URL (ctrl+alt+C) and placing the URL in The Brain and it worked great! Guess I'm going to need to do some more investigation into some of the functionality in Logos 5!
