I'm surprised that the KJV is still that popular.
I'm surprised that you are surprised. If the KJV was good enough for Jesus...... or was it Moses?........[:D][:D][:D][6]
No, no, no - it was Enoch
I thought Adam wrote that one.
Adam? I thought God was older than Adam?
Make fun if you want, but God clearly spoke in 17th century English to Charlton Heston, long before the Scriptures were formed.

Oh, that Charlton Heston. I guess you may be right. Sorry for speaking out of turn, though I always found that spoken version to be less than the revealed Word of God.
No copyright, could this be why?
I'm surprised that the KJV is still that popular. No copyright does that!
No copyright does that!
You are not implying that some people are cheap are you? [;)]
My favorite version is the very "expensive", scholarly, The Message.
It is so close to the original translations that I use it often while exegeting. [:P]

Strictly NKJV and sometimes ESV here.
