My verdict on the new Reformed Base Packages

I've just updated my Logos 5 Buyers' Guide to also discuss the new Reformed Base Packages.
If you're too lazy to click, I think for a typical Reformed user:
- There's not much to choose between Starter and Reformed Starter.
- Reformed Bronze slightly edges Bronze, largely due to the Early Church Father's being included.
- Reformed Silver is less attractive than Silver because it's commentary selection is much weaker.
- There's not much to choose between Gold and Reformed Gold because Gold has great commentaries, but Reformed Gold has great theological works.
- Reformed Platinum is much better than Platinum because of the huge number of high-quality Reformed theological works more than makes up for the lack of NAC and BDAG.
The new package also makes Diamond even less worthwhile. Reformed Platinum + Gold will almost certainly cost much less than Diamond, but will offer substantially more value, in my opinion. If you can afford it, that combination will be hard to beat for most Reformed preachers.

- I think that Reformed Silver is much better than Gold if you already have a previous package with commentaries and aren't looking to add commentaries. You get the exegetical summaries plus Edwards, plus Warfield, and some apologetic works.
- I wonder though if you purchased a Reformed Bundle Silver and then went to Gold what a person's dynamic price would be...Regardless it makes a second package intriguing to at least look at on dynamic pricing.
Chelsea FC- Today is a good day!

I noticed that Reformed Gold and Platinum also include Crossway Classic Commentaries, but you only show them for Diamond.

Thanks for letting me know about these, Randy.
I haven't changed most of the links, because I don't want (for example) want to link to the 41 volume NAC if the base package only contains the 40 volume variant. Instead, I've changed the links to a cached version of the page, which shows the correct info.
