"Journal Type" that is not "Journal Type"

I have noticed we are getting some confussion in the "resource type" area

Some titles such as

Life Journals and Letters of Henry Alfordby Henry Alford

The Journal of the Rev. Charles Wesley, vol. 2

and

The Journal of the Rev. Charles Wesley, vol. 1

are being listed and "Resource Type" Journals when they are not - they include publications of presonal journals but that's a different thing.

Also we are missing

Letter & Spirit, Volume 8: Promise and Fulfillment: The Relationship between the Old and New Testaments

which has just gone from Pre-Pub - to published.

This isn't the first time either!

Are you saying Volume 8 is not shown as Journal? For me all 8 volumes are journal. Maybe your metadata has not been downloaded for some reason?

Hence this being posted in the Logos WebSite forum - it is the sales site currently that I am interested in - although how they then appear in the product is important as well.

I have a particular in terest in catching all proper preiodical type "Journals" and want them all to appear itemised in the "resource type" and not confused by people diry type journals which are different.

Ah - now looking better

we still need to remove

and add

Letter and Spirit (7 vols.) - which are in indidvudally but not as a collection.

Then it would look really clean - can I ask that Logos look at the process used to assign "Resource Types" as it does look a little "flakey".

might this explain a slow take-up of these Pre-Pubs - maybe

We have work underway to categorize personal journals from academic journals, which should help with some of what you're seeing here.

We'll also be reviewing our library to identify opportunities to strengthen our categorization by product.
