ChMS Software

I know there's already an excellent range of ChMS software out there on the market, as well as Logos has plenty on its plate right now to tackle, but I'm curious as to if Logos has ever "thought" about entering the ChMS software market, and how it could go about marketing something that'd be appealing to customers.

Our church is going to need to switch to new ChMS software down the road since ours is no longer supported, and it's almost overwhelming seeing all the different programs out there. If we could ever get our ChMS software from the same place we trust our Bible software and church presentation software from, it'd make our decision a little easier. :-)

I've given that link to our secretary so she can choose a good ChMS program when the time comes to switch. Problem is there's so many good ones!

Maybe they should just buy them, and then there would be no need to change the name of the product. It would fit right in with the Logos Bellingham family of products. They would have to tweak some things about the look, of course: new icon, etc.

True. But Logos II and Logos5 don't match. Maybe to get Logos II up to speed, they could quickly go through III, IV and then V.

But along the veins of your thinking, I notice Logos-Logos (the real one) would be in a better position than not-real-Logos for supporting the Catholics, etc. After that, I'm thinking college management systems (Seminary vs Bible College). Not to mention of course the new Logos TV for those evangelical preachers on TV.

I very much suspect that the Christian community hasn't fully realized what Logos is capable of. They could (in theory) write software to follow you around (discipling; what were you thinking?).

In all reality, I've thought about that with Logos buying Logos ChMS and expanding upon it. It probably wouldn't need the V change for 5 since Logos 5 is a separate product over Logos ChMS. They could basically what they're doing with Proclaim, etc.

FaithLife has the potential to be a courseware management tool for Bible colleges, and being free also is nice. While not as powerful as say, Blackboard or Moodle, having my courseware, discussions, Logos documents, etc., all inside Logos and synced with FaithLife would be great instead of having to reach out to a different courseware program, especially for colleges that embrace Mobile Ed.

FaithLife has a LOT of potential in store the more people use it. I just wish more would catch on.
