Good grief, it contains the full set of ICC commentaries, what a beast of a package.

Does the Anglican package include the Saints on the home page ribbon? Does it permit multiple lectionaries for primary service and morning & evening prayer? Is there any intention to add the 1 reading (+ 1 psalm) Anglican Cycle of Prayer (http://www.anglicancommunion.org/acp/index.cfm)? In short, is it ready to recommend to my Anglo-Catholic friends?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

No dynamic pricing for me.. Why is that?

Possibly logged in under a different username than you purchased resources under? Way to check - pick a resource in the package that you know you own. Go to the individual resource page and check that the buy button is grayed out.

I did, what I'm gettin is just the academic discount not the dynamic pricing.. unlike the reformed platinum, my dynamic was pricing fine.
0 -
mike - that means your academic discount is greater than the discount you would have recieved from dynamic pricing +15% off.

true,
its sad that dynamic + academic doesn't work together..(they should've made it to work together I think..). Anyway, I'm not liking this NEW thing they're doing .. WAY TOO MUCH profit margin for Logos. (positive & negative way)
I think the price is too HIGH because of that ICC commentaries... I think they should just remove it to make the price better.. When the price is good, people will buy it, this one is way too expensive.

Mike,
You might not be aware of our pricing and discount structure for Base Packages or how dynamic pricing works, so let me explain briefly:
The Anglican Base Packages are priced exactly the same as the main Logos track—as well as the other equivalent Base Packages for specific Christian traditions (Reformed, SDA, etc.). Starter is Starter is Starter (and so on), regardless of the specific 'track.'
The Anglican Base Packages are jam-packed with a lot of new and even unreleased content. Most people don't own these resources, and so you are not alone in noticing the difference in price. Since they are dynamically priced, the less content one owns, the higher the upgrade cost.
We have had a lot of the content in the Reformed Base Packages for a few years now, and so a lot of our existing users already own a good portion of what makes up those Base Packages (probably like yourself). Therefore, the dynamic price is 'lower' when upgrading to Reformed BPs vs. Anglican. This perception and figure is, of course, unique for each and every Logos user.
But at the end of the day, all of our Base Packages have an equal pricing structure and discount percentage, and Academic pricing is the same across all tracks.
As far as Academic vs. Dynamic/Coupon, you are being presented the best possible discount between the two. If the price seems high, again, that is due to the large number of new resources in these BPs.
Hope this helps!

On this point specifically, since all of our Base Packages have the same pricing and discount percentage across the board, if we removed ICC it would be replaced with the same $ equivalent of resources in order to match the price point for our Diamond level. It would make no difference, since our goal is a consistent pricing structure across all Logos Base Packages.

When will this be available electronically? I cannot/ will not phone .... would rather not email (as if I could ... There is no address supplied) ... Clearly the sales reps can access thi but we cannot ... Logos seems to force us towards sales reps ... Talk of consistent prices ... And a push towards secret deals! .the sales reps are even accessing our checkout baskets and making contact with us. I cannot see the economic sense in this intrusiveness ... But that is not the point ... Why does logos have a policy to promote this intrusive sales pitching to the detriment of customers?

Martin, I can assure you that we are not hiding anything here. There is no intentional push here to make you talk to sales unnecessarily, nor is there anything "secret." We are simply waiting for our development team to finish coding the dynamic comparison charts. As soon as they are available, you'll have access to them.
We put the note to call sales so that you would have access to more information, not less.

This is great news... Lets get a couple of those Anglican community pricing bids going now... Both the below are super deals, and the one volume is so cheap as to make it an interest to almost anyone.

I was told Logos does not have a way to delete prepub orders automatically based on buying a base package like these, if so watch your orders. For the Anglican Diamond I have found 9 prepubs that are are in this base package (post here if oyu find more):
Old Testament for Everyone
Hymnology Collection
Modern Studies on Incarnation
SPCK Anglican Studies Collection
T&T Clark Anglican Studies Collection
T&T Clark Anglican Church Life Collection
Anglican Evangelicals: Protestant Secessions from the Via Media
Mystical Element of Religion
the Identity of Anglicanism has all but 2 of its resources included in Diamond.

The Sarum Missal in English (2 vols.)
The Mystical Works of Evelyn Underhill (11 vols.)
Select Works of Dom Gregory Dix (9 vols.)
Select Works of F. W. Farrar (3 vols.)
Select Works on Christian Unity (5 vols.)
Probably several more.
I wonder what's going to happen with these, now that so many will cancel their bids.

Actually, they are out - they must build them and then check them out on prepub, or they went ahead and built them once they decided to move forward with the new base packages. Several of the prepubs are in my library right now!

Upon purchasing Anglican Bronze this morning I was able to scrutinize the package contents after work this evening:
Anglican Bronze lists the below:
yet the website still shows the Christian Origins and the Question of God Series as locked:
Are the list and the resource collection one in the same? Is anyone else missing this collection upon Aglican Bronze or above purchase? Am I missing something?
[EDIT] I seem to be missing Wright's Paul and the Faithfulness of God (2 parts)
Thanks!

If true ( [:'(] ), I'll assume the list was also referring to The Works of Philo and not Works of Philo (24 vols.) [still in CP]

This is typical to base-packages. Yet another reason not to recommend them!

What is typical? that there are errors in the roll-out - yes, but they always get worked out.

I assumed this because there was no volume number following the entry.

Logos emphasizes the total number of books included but it requires a bit of effort to find out what the usable books are that You would actually want and which series are complete and which ones are not. If Logos would put less fluff into the base-packages more users would be motivated to go through the list in detail. Most users will give up and just order a base-package based on denominational leanings and how much they afford, and somewhat many still don't realize Logos's strategy:

Base-packages are a bad idea also because they quickly get dated. Some of the works are already dated, and new books continue to come after the base-package is released. It's a pain to buy newer books that cover the exact same things as in the base-package but sometimes You just have to do that because the base-package books are so dated.Disclosure!

This is a point I would disagree with as what I find worthwhile in a base package is far more often the older material. Logos in general has large gaps in their contemporary materials although the situation is improving at a steady rate. But I already know that you and I have different taste in our reading.

This is a huge difference. Can anyone verify whether the package is supposed to include all 4 volumes of Wright? And all the volumes of ICC or all but the most recent 3?

Hello David,
Andy Evans has asked Logos via HERE, regarding both questions many of us have. [Y]

Hi all,
Just a quick note to address what seem to be two main issues: the Christian Origins collection and the ICC.
Regarding the Christian Origins collection: When I initially put the collection together, Paul and the Faithfulness of God was not yet part of the Christian Origins Collection. Since then, the collection has been updated to include that book. However, the copy on the product page was not updated to clarify that it was the 3-volume collection rather than just left ambiguous.
I should have caught and clarified this before the product shipped. I am sorry about that.
Regarding the ICC: Diamond does (or should) contain all 59 volumes listed on the product page. There seems to be a glitch somewhere in the system. Rest assured that you will receive all the volumes once everything is sorted out. I'm very sorry about the confusion.
If there is anything else I can do, please don't hesitate to email me directly at: ben (dot) amundgaard (at) logos (dot) com

Hi Ben,
This is really good news,
Ben Amundgaard said:Regarding the ICC: Diamond does (or should) contain all 59 volumes listed on the product page.
This is slightly less so,
Ben Amundgaard said:Regarding the Christian Origins collection: When I initially put the collection together, Paul and the Faithfulness of God was not yet part of the Christian Origins Collection. I had held off on ordering the Diamond until the contents were clarified. It is a really shame that the fourth volume did not make it into the package (I do not intend this to be critical, I fully appreciate oversights happen, particularly when dealing with complex packages). This and the inclusion of ICC would have been very attractive additions (from my perspective).
Notwithstanding this, even without Paul and the Faithfulness of God, I will still give Diamond serious consideration.
My only suggestion would be to ensure that the updated product description is clear. Strictly speaking, and as far as I can see, there is no three volume Christian Origins collection (just the four volume collection and the individual volumes). You may wish to consider listing the three included resources separately (in lieu of creating a three-volume collection to sit alongside the four volume correction).
Finally, thank you for all you work with these packages. I do think the specific denominational packages are a really valuable addition.
Blessings,
[:)]

My question now is how come the resource isn't available in mobile, when product page says it would?

Hey Dan,
you only need Anglican Bronze to get the that series..

Hi Ben,
Why does the Anglican collection contain the Early Church Fathers Special Catholic Edition (37 vols.) and not the Protestant Edition? The Protestant Edition contains everything in the Catholic Edition.
The reason I am asking is that I am concerned about the dynamic pricing. I want to buy Anglican Bronze, but I already have the Protestant Edition from another package. I'm afraid that the dynamic pricing I am being given means I am being charged for a $229.95 resource I essentially already have!

I went with the Catholic Edition to avoid offending anyone (particularly Anglo-Catholics).
I can appreciate your predicament. I would recommend calling sales, I think they'd be able to help you best. OR, the riskier option would be to buy it and then call customer service for a refund ...
You have pointed out an interesting situation, though, one that we will have to remedy in the future.

I am a Gold owner, and ICC is only in Diamond, I am guessing you meant the everyone series, I love the NT set and Goldingay is fabulous author but so far I have not as impressed by the OT volumes, but I have only used them a couple time.

I don´t know what sales will tell you, but in the past when I bought Verbum with the ECF, and contacted them to see if I could get it switched to the protestant version, they said the equivalent to "No Way Jose". Even though the price is exactly the same on the web site! Logos said something about it being different publishers etc. [*-)]
I could not ever get them to give me an upgrade price! [:(]
Hope you have more luck with sales than I did. [:D]

It's Public Domain so the publisher is the same: Logos.
They can't "switch" the package to the other version, and it can't be done on the web, but if you talk to Sales they should definitely give you the same discount as if you had owned the included version. If they refuse, ask to talk to someone else. Santiago Galeano if necessary. He's the Director of Sales. He's extremely busy these days (it often takes 2-3 weeks to get an answer to an e-mail...), so it might be a good idea not to bother him unnecessarily, but when you can't get the lower Sales staff to recognize how right you are, he's the guy to go to.[:)]
