Video on the uses of Notes?
I posted this request over on the wiki, but also wanted to put it out there for all you inveterate video producers...
I am not a power user like a lot of you, but feel that I could use Notes to do some very helpful things. I don't really understand how the Notes in L4 work, and there isn't an official video explaining it. Maybe it seems too simple, but I'd appreciate an overview of using notes and all the options available.
Anybody game?

This may not be exactly what you want, but Mark Barnes recently created a video on sermon prep in 2 parts. Part 2 covers notes and clippings. I thought it was very instructive. The notes stuff starts about halfway in, after a section on 'brainstorming' a passage. http://www.4-14.org.uk/logos-bible-software-tutorial-videos/preparing-a-sermon-with-logos#setup-layout. You might have to scroll to see Part 2. It is not a exhaustive, systematic treatment of notes, but you might get some good tips. I did. I hope someone does exactly what you want -- I'd like to see it too.

Thanks, Ken! That was helpful, though I'd still like to see more on the use of notes. I'm sure they are hanging fire on those until they can get the import up to speed, but I'd really like more information now.

There is now an "official" set of 6 videos quickly explaining how to use the notes feature in L4. They don't go into great detail, but give the basics on creating/editing/searching/deleting notes.

Those "official" notes are basic. However, they do cover the bases okay. Mark's video was great. That fellow is borderline genius. Seriously, he comes up with some very creative ways to use L4. He has actually shown me that there is a purpose for using notes and clippings within L4. I had pretty much resigned myself to use OneNote for all of my note taking. However, after watching his video, I can see some benefit to keeping notes and using clipplings. And adding them to the favorites in a folder, that was the genius part. It gives a study such great organization that I hadn't though of. My sincerest thanks to Mark for sharing and to the rest of the L4 forum community for sharing and pointing us to the great things that others have shared. Great community.

After watching them, I do concede that they are quite simple. They do help explain the basic intention for notes. But as Mark so cleverly showed us (and with such a great accent, too[H] ), there is a lot more that can be done with Notes, Clippings, and Favorites.
I notice there is no video explaining favorites. Perhaps this was a tool in L3 that I never used and everyone but me knows what it's for? I'd like to see something on that, as well.
Mark, if you're reading...I believe that the way you used Notes, Clippings and Favorites in your video could be used for at least one other project. If you're interested in trying it, I'd be glad to email you my idea to see if you could come up with a smooth way to do what I want to do.
