What version is your Base Package?

Updating the Base Package Comparison Chart and Timeline, I'm missing some info, so I was wondering if some can help fill in a few missing pieces. Base Packages have a version indicator, shown in Help -> About. It's a two letter version (eg. JG, IH, etc.). My L5 Portfolio used to show up in the About screen as Portfolio (IH). Now it shows Capstone+ (HJ). I didn't pay attention to what Verbum was before the Plus release. Also, do any of the new denominational base packages show up in the About screen? or is there any other way to check?

Hi Randy,

I upgraded from Platinum in L4 to Portfolio in L5. I have recently purchased the Reformed Platinum base package supplemented by the Anglican Diamond package. Assuming that I am looking in the correct place, I cannot see any reference to these editions (save Portfolio). I presume this is what you are seeing,

I seem to remember reading that the 'about' section always displayed the highest core package (in the case where an individual might purchase both Platinum and Capstone, for example). I may, however, have got this wrong. I did try to run a search, but, predictably, could not locate the relevant thread.

Is there any other information that I can provide?

Randy - I have a whole string of BP's (see signature, and add the Biblical Languages package) and what my about screen shows is "(Platinum v.5 (IH))"

Thanks Andy & Ken; that's exactly the information I'm looking for. That confirms that it doesn't seem to change for the new packages, for existing package owners. Remaining questions:

What version does it display for Logos 4 Catholic packages?

What version does it display for Logos 5 Verbum (non-plussed) packages?

What version does it display for users who buy in under one of the new denominational packages (not owning either a "core" package or Verbum package)?

Select 'Edit' at the top right hand corner and then 'site options'. You will be able to edit your footer from there.

I was doing the same. Probably the best way is via the orders page. It would be ideal if the packages and bundles were listed within the 'About Logos' screen (within L5). However, I can imagine that this would quickly become unwieldy.

If you were to have asked me what I have, I would have told you Logos 5 Portfolio! (I also had Logos 4 Portfolio!) Am shocked indeed by your post and by finding out that I have = quote! (Verbum Capstone+ (HJ))

That's what it says, and I have Verbum set to "no"! I would vastly prefer to have it read Logos 5 Portfolio; and if you can figure out someday a way to do that, please let us know! *smile*

Thank you, Milford. I very much agree with you there. I have a great deal of respect for our Catholic brothers and sisters and believe I have a lot to learn from them which is why I picked up Capstone, but I'm not of that tradition and I would much rather Logos identify me as a Portfolio owner. I think, I think, this is also tied into their sales/promotion system too. I noticed around Christmas some Portfolio owners mentioned they received a $25 coupon. I didn't receive that. Instead, I received a $15 coupon for being a Capstone owner. (I think those amounts are right?) It's not that big of a deal and I didn't call them to inquire, but I do wonder occasionally if I'm missing other automated promotions because their promotion system doesn't seem to know I own Portfolio. Or maybe that was just a fluke?

I'd very much prefer to be thought of as having an ACELO package + Jewish. ACELO being an abbreviation for Anglican, Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Lutheran and Oriental Orthodox. One problem: There still are no base packages for Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Judaism[:'(]
