Lewis and short will be available in two weeks after the Gathering Interest phase was over.

But in most cases when a book goes to the Under Contract phase, I feel it disappears into a black hole.

Hebrew Audio Pronunciations has been there a long time, and it would be good to have the green line length to indicate approximately how it is progressing.

It would be but unfortunately, Logos has learned that its users read too much into schedules and progress indicators and get disappointed when things slip back.

Yes, fuzzy disappointment is usually preferable and less irritating than specific disappointment.

True, but they get even more disappointed when there is no communication at all. In fact, I'd say that it is mainly because there is no communication about it that people do get so disappointed when things slip. The first key to keeping customers happy in spite of things not going according to plan, is to always be one step ahead of them and inform them about it before they find it out for themselves. With an explanation and an apology, of course. And preferably some kind of compensation.

Amazon's pretty good about that, letting me know a pre-pub is slipping (or disasterously unpredictable). And along with FedEx tells me my $3.99 item is stuck in snow somewhere in the Appalacians.

I think the issue is the cost of tracking when an individual is trying to move 30-40 books (at Logos). And doing it reliably. I'd assume the error rate of tracking would be fairly high.
