Hi
The Community Price https://www.logos.com/product/38902/classic-studies-on-the-new-testament-apocrypha is currently running at $48.00 / £28.60.
If there a chance we could get the price down with a few more takers. There looks like a decent chance of getting the asking price down to $30.00 / £17.88.
If it is too rich for you are the higher price - try the lower one out.
Shalom Kevin
I agree. I am in for $30 which is what I bid from the beginning. I hope we can bring it down to that.
At four dollars per volume, this is one of the more expensive CPs I've seen. I honestly don't what, if anything, goes through people's heads. This could have easily processed at $30 or less. People have to be bidding their laziness or their fear. Throwing away $10, $20, $40 per CP for senseless, unnecessary reasons means that in a busy month like this one you blow an extra $50, $100, or $200 for no good reason.
OK. I'm in for $30.
bump
again bump
Thanks for highlighting this, Kevin. I have bid £28.
I bumped my bid to $36 (a pox on all your houses), but I'm going no farther.
I certainly don't need the "pox" so I too bumped my bid to $36.

I caved in to bid $42 as I really don't want to miss this. A few more bidding at this level and it will go down to $36. Any takers?
OK. I see a whole mess of 'bumps'.
What 'exactly' is so desirable about this CP? One of the volumes go back to the time of the Thomas Jefferson Bible (concise version). Another could have been in the back pocket of a Union soldier at Gettysburg (that left his Logos at home).
The date pattern looks like the ebb and flow with each new discovery but none reflecting much broader/deeper analyses.
Is the motive 'cheap'? (Though more than Matthew's average.)
I don't have a dog in this, and imagining these books in a used book shop for $42 'take the whole lot', I'm still wondering whether Fido should just stay home?

As did I
Nice to see the bid down to $42. I few more buyers may be enough to drive the price further down. [Y]
4 hours left to get it down to 36. Not really sure why we still have 6 dollar increments, didn't somebody at Logos say fairly recently that these big increments would be reduced automatically?

Certainly it has been requested that Logos consider setting up changing increments as it nears the closing time but I'm pretty sure this has not been put in place yet and that it is still being done manually. So I seriously doubt whether anything will be changed on this Easter weekend.
But I do hope that it happens in the future.
Upped my bid to $36, which appears to be on the cusp of making it. If I miss, I miss.......
It's at $36 now...so I will get it, I guess. I'm not so sure it's worth even half of that.
It is now at $36. Looks like your bid helped make the difference. [:)]
I just got a confirmation that my bid of $36 was successful.
Thanks all - although we didn't manage to get this down to $30 we did succeed as far as $36
Happy reading once delivered!
