Android Suite 4.2.3 Stable Release
The Android team is pleased to announce the 4.2.3 stable release of the Bible, Biblia, FSB, Verbum, Vyrso and Noet apps. The apps should be available soon in the Google Play and Amazon Stores.
If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:
- Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred.
- App Info – Which app you are using. (Bible, Biblia, Faithlife Study Bible, Noet, Verbum or Vyrso)
- Device Info – (Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic, Kindle Fire (1st gen))

Where exactly is the action bar overflow menu? I'm not finding it. Wouldn't it be better to put it in Settings, the way Desktop works?

On most Android devices, it's the vertical "..." button in the upper right corner. If your device has a physical menu button, you can press that to open the menu. This is the standard Android way of doing things, which is why we took that approach.

1. My display didn't have the 3 dots. Tapping the menu button worked.
2. I still prefer a setting (or let's say a synched setting) in the Setting options.
3. But the upshot is this: I'd still like to launch the Reading pane immediately after a cold restart of the app. Could that be done?

The problem I've encountered is with Bible 4.2.3, on the Kindle Fire HD. (Had the same problem on Bible 4.1.12.) I don't know what the underlying Android version number is, but the Kindle System Version is 8.4.8, which I understand is the most current system version for the device.
In the resource titled Basics of Biblical Greek: Grammar, by William Mounce, breathing marks are not displaying properly for words starting with a vowel when the vowel is capitalized. The breathing mark should be located in front of the capitalized vowel, but appears to be occupying the same space as the capitalized vowel. See an example in chapter 3 at the end of section 3.4.
The breathing mark does display properly on the PC version of Logos, so I assume it's an Android problem, not a resource issue.

Please add this feature. The ability to turn off the items on the home page is great as I have turned everything off, now however, the app starts with a blank page instead of the reading pane that I really would like.

Absolutely. I've turned off everything on the home screen that can be turned off, yet each restart brings in new Logos advertising. Logos isn't Facebook. It's not given away for free. There shouldn't be mandatory ads in any Logos app. We should be able to start in the last book we were reading.

I applaud the new Bible build and have a feature request.
I prefer to configure display rotation on a per app basis. I thought that previous builds of this app provided the setting. I now recollect it was an iOS version of this app that did.
At least one "Bible Study" Android app does provide a setting 'Lock Screen Orientation'
