I purchased Anglican Diamond early last week and was delighted when the Everyone series downloaded. Moreover, I have noticed that other titles have downloaded in both Diamond and Reformed Platinum in advance of their release date; a very welcome surprise!

I want to purchase Anglican Diamond...to get about 5% of what is in it. But I definitely DON'T want the rest of what is in it, so I'm not going to get it even though I think the price is fair.

David if the price is fair get it and hide what you do not want. Or, send Logos a list of the undesirables, and ask them to delete them from your account.

I agree with this view in relation to most of the base packages (i.e. there is a degree of what I consider, somewhat subjectively, to be filler). However, when doing the math, there was enough in Diamond that I will actually use for the purchase to make sense for me. I fully agree that such an evaluation is very personal.

Having said this, were Logos to offer your 'Unobtainium package' for the same upgrade price as Diamond, there would be no competition [:)].

Actually, Lyndon, I would prefer to just get something desirable rather discard the undesirable without compensation.

I think the 15% off sale on Anglican base packages is only running until the end of April, if I'm not mistaken. So I wouldn't wait.

EDIT: On second though, maybe I am mistaken. I might be thinking of the April 30 deadline as that's when the Old Testament for Everyone collection is scheduled to ship. So never mind. But check with Sales to be sure the sale won't be expiring soon before you put it off for a "month or so".

IIRC they said it would be on sale for at least 2 months after launch. I will talk to Rusty though, so long as it processes after the 7th, i'll be fine.

Interestingly enough, Logos sent me today an email with a personalized offer, asking me to order Old Testament for Everyone Series at prepub price before it comes out of prepub. They said to hurry because I only have two weeks left...LOL...I laugh when I get these types of emails offering me resources I already have. Thanks anyway, though.
