Whenever I attempt to open Logos 5, I receive an error message stating that "Logos has stopped working." Should I just delete Logos and download it again? Or is there any way that is easier to fix it?
HI Levi - and welcome to the forums
Sorry to hear you are having problems.
Depending on the cause of the problem a reinstall may or may not fix it
Please enable diagnostic logging and post logs after a crash as per http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging

How do I upload the zip file? The attach file option on the reply box doesn't seem to work.
Are you using the paperclip icon?
How large is the zip file?
yes.
6.93 KB
I assume you mean MB.
Try unzipping it and uploading just the logos.log file.
4604.Logos.log
Try updating to 5.2a SR-1 using this link. Start Logos with CTRL key held and if it still crashes, upload the zipped Logos Log Files folder.
The problem seems to be solved, and Logos starts up with no problems! Thank you very much.
(Question: Was that link for reinstalling Logos, or installing a patch/update?)
Levi
The link was to download the "newest" release version (whatever it is at the time) of the Logos 5 engine for windows. When you download and install it, yes you are "reinstalling logos," but only the software engine. All of your data files, indexes, etc. are safely kept elsewhere.
