How do I search by "speaker" in the Bible? E.g. I want to find all the places in the Bible where God said the words "My servant."
Thanks in advance.
Peter
Many of the Logos resources have speaker labels, however they are not searchable, If you click the label it will take you to the bible facts page for that speaker. Someone may have a search they have constructed as a work around,
Hi Peter
You can do a Clause Search for God speaking
Select the first one in the list and run the search - for completeness you should probably repeat it for all options as separate searches
Then run a Bible Search for "My Servant"
Make a Passage List from each of the search results and merge them specifying the intersection of the Passage Lists
That's the best I can think of for doing this - and you would need to repeat it for the New Testament as well

Does clause search work in the Deuterocanonicals as well, and with which versions/Editions? Perhaps NRSV? Or some Gk Edition?
Clause search works against two specific sources as shown below:
If you want to explore this further please start another thread so as not to divert from the original query.
I was hoping it would be easier. Thanks all! Peter
I just did a quick search of the ESV and found there are only 110 occurrences of the phrase "my servant". It should not take more than a couple of minutes to identify those occurrences where God is speaking.
Yes, Fred. But it's also fun to try to learn something about Logos search along the way! :-)
