I see that the 2nd edition is available via LOGOS, I would really like to see this newest edition to be made available in the near future.

I hope you are being sarcastic - they should carry both (if the publisher will let them). Seminary profs will most likely require students to use the newer version. I do not have the older version available to compare the two - perhaps someone can contribute those details.
