Question About Tagging Clippings

Ok, so I understand the tagging of resources. But I am doing a project for school on the Abrahamic Covenant (Really interesting study if you haven't done so) and I noticed that there is a place for tags in Clippings documents and I believe other places as well. What are those tags used for?

Hmm it does that anyway without the tags as I have never used tags before and they always show up in search. Perhaps that could get a more fine-tuned search result though. Is there any other reason to use them?

let's just say you have a Quote: "Remember, all the water outside of a ship cannot sink it. It is the water inside that perils its safety." Imagine I add a tag "Proverbs 4:23", or "compromise". Without these tags, you would not find this clipping!

Also, if you are studying for several classes/sermons/papers, you could be reading a ton of text and unless you are saving clippings to separate clipping files, you can simply tag the quotes with names of class/paper/sermon.

I personally use clippings as a depository of illustrations, where I collect Quotes, Statistics and Jokes to embellish my lessons/sermons

Ok that makes sense. Yeah, I'm the guy that creates a Clippings document for each separate research study I do. Yep, I'm that guy.
