4.0a RC 1 (v4.01.3.4467) was released this afternoon.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed highlighting in non-Bible text with Bible Text Only visual filter
  • Fixed bug causing Send Searches here “target” icon to appear on two different Search panels
  • Fixed bug preventing a new resource from being searched after merging indexes
  • Fixed position of note icons with Bible Text Only visual filter
  • Fixed bug preventing interlinear line display settings from being saved
  • Fixed bug causing deleted collections to appear in the definitions of other collections

New Features

  • Added new command
    set custom chrome to false
that turns off the special main window border; this may be a workaround for maximise or black title bar problems.

    Bradley,

I purchased todays Christmas special, opened L4 Beta 5. It downloaded both the RC and the resources. Installed RC, restarted L4, it began indexing. I turn off Logos when it indexes and when I did the indexing stopped the taskbar icon was gone and the supplemental index is incomplete. Bradley, you still have indexing problems, and I seem to have a propensity for finding them each time I buy an new resource.[:)] I will rebuild the index tonight.

    Disregard above post

    Cool! This works!

It solves 2 problems: 1) the black-bar-of-annoyance and 2) preventing auto-hide task-bar from popping up.

Now: no black bar and auto-hide pops up.

    Thanks!

EDIT: BTW, the command is Set Custom Chrome to No

Both "false" and "no" should work. Or "off"; take your pick. [:)]

    Cool.

The drop-down list of commands when I started typing offered Yes or No, so I figured that was what was expected.

Nice to hear there's some built in synonym recognition.

Now if I could just search my Bible for all the synonyms for "Salvation" . . .

John, I'm running thru my standard battery of performance tests and everything looks the same.  The only performance trouble I'm having is slow typing.  The notes feature is unusable.

However, everything else is plenty fast, even with power lookup turned on.  I love it.

Any update on problems associated with merging indexes?

Never mind, I saw a response in another thread.

the "set custom chrome to false" works like a charm... took a closing & reopening of L4 for the buttons to be resized properly, but it makes things a lot more functional. no more black title bar! thanks for implementing this fix
