Alright, folks. Let's get this one on the right set of rails and get it chugging down the tracks ASAP. I bid $32, and if we all go in at that price right out of the gate, it will create a peak that is in line with typical CP costs of approx. $2 per volume. It will probably go down from their once it crosses over the line.

Let's get those mice a clickin'! Smile

For those of us (like my self) that don't know who Joseph Seiss is, can you give us your best sales pitch? Why should someone like my self (whose not lutheran) be interested in this particular title?

If you give me good reason, I (and others) will likely jump on board :)

Honestly, I'm in this primarily for one title...The Gospel in the Stars. This, together with E. W.  Bullinger's Witness in the Stars, are two of the Big Three 19th century resources on the subject of Biblical Astronomy. The other is the first and ground-breaker, Frances Rolleston's Mazzaroth: The Constellations. That is the next one that Logos needs to get. Having all three of these in Logos would be absolutely awesome. Pretty much everyone who writes anything on this topic these days is just regurgitating the work of these three authors. There are one of two people who have incorporated modern astronomical advances, but their content is still mostly based on the work of these three individuals. I had a website devoted to this topic a year or two ago, but I decided to let it go, though I will probably start a new site at some point in the future.

If someone isn't familiar with the concept, Biblical astronomy focuses on how the constellations depict the whole prophetic scope of the gospel in the heavens. Inevitably, there are folks who can't differentiate this concept from astrology and so they pooh-pooh the idea and call it pagan. These people are drastically short-sighted. I guarantee that this stuff is as legit as the Book itself...IF, and that's always the key, if it is approached in the correct way. I've given presentations on this in the past that totally blew people away. The amount of detail and depth of story is amazing. When I look up at the sky at night, depending on the time of year, I see whole sagas played out from both the OT & NT. One thing that is important to keep in mind is that while these three authors opened up this concept in their writings, none of them had a very firm grasp on prophecy. To really get the full effect of the story dynamics depicted in the constellations, seeing the proper trajectory of prophecy makes all the difference in the world. Anyone who reads these three books will get a great introduction to the concept of Biblical astronomy, but many of the details these folks describe and discuss are prophetically out of whack. I have plans to write at least 2-3 books on this topic, and have started on them already, but having all three of these books in Logos would be a huge benefit and incentive.

In my opinion, having this one book by Seiss in Logos format is worth the entire CP cost, and everything else is just gravy.

Btw, Seiss has a 2-volume, 922 pg. commentary on Revelation already in Logos.

I don't know too much about Joseph Seiss, but I honestly believe his 2 volume commentary on Revelation was worth the whole price of the Classic Commentaries on Revelation...!!! Therefore, I've placed my bid for his slect works post haste.

I think I have his revelation title... I'll do some reading and make up my mind :). Thanks for the explanation.

At present I am one of those drastically short sighted individuals, and its most likely due to my lack of exposure to the concept despite nearly 200 hours of bible college and seminary. I'll read it, but I make no promises :)
