Fr. George Florovsky - Orthodoxy

There is a very interesting volume in the writings of George Florovsky. He was an Orthodox priest who taught at St. Vladimir's Seminary, Harvard and Princeton Seminary.
His volume one is a must for an understanding of how the Eastern Church viewed Tradition in the early centuries. In fact, I would like to see all of his volumes available in Logos. From memory...I believe there are twelve of them. The entire set is no longer in print. In volume one he deals with St. Vincent of Lerins and other early Christian writers like Tertullian, Irenaeus and Augustine.
Christ is risen!

Actually, he turned up at CP almost exactly a year ago, but was withdrawn again within hours:

I can confidently assert that we will never have Florovsky's works (nor will anyone else, for a very, very long time). It's complicated. Sorry!

thank you for your forthrightness. this is not good news for those interested in these volumes. I have the Commentary on St. Luke by St. Cyril of Alexandria and this volume has an Introduction by Fr. Florovsky on the importance of tradition in the early church. And searching for this volume, I found it is no longer in print and used copies in England are rare and expensive. I think I saw them for between $150-250. my search did not bring up any used copies in the USA. Although, some were found in text files.

Thank you, fgh. I downloaded the pdfs of Florovsky. I had some of his volumes as ebooks but these looked really good and so I grapped them.
I used his material last week for a class I am teaching and so am appreciative.
