Forum website is really slow

Suddenly it has been taking up to 20 seconds to load the home page for the forum or the "not read" page. It has always been very fast until a few weeks ago. This happens on my Mac using Safari and on window using Firefox. When I sign out the pages open very quickly. Please advise.

Hi, John. I'm not noticing any slow down in either of those browsers. Are you still experiencing sluggish performance? If so, can you tell us what versions you're using for the browsers you mentioned?

I too find the forum website very slow much of the time.

I find the website to be functioning adequately at the time of my reply. I cleared my cache on each of the browsers to check, and the maximum time of load was approximately 4 seconds. My browsers and versions are as follows:
Firefox version 29.0.1
Chrome version Version 34.0.1847.131
IE 11 version 11.0.9600.17105
Each of the browsers are up to date.

Agreed, but more so as of late.

Initial forum page load on:
- IE 11 = 1 to 2 seconds
- Chrome = 5 to 6 seconds
- Firefox = 1 to 2 seconds
- Safari (iOS) = 5 to 6 seconds

Thanks Toby,
They are all the most up to date version. I have the same problem with using safari IOS and on multiple networks. I think it began when you were dealing with Heartbleed and then was never resolved. In Firefox I can see the delay is actually connecting, once connected the page comes up.

I'm curious if this may be due (or partially due) to the ISP routers used on our end. I am using Comcast on the east coast USA with a provisioned speed of 16/3. All is well with the website here.

Hi Erwin,
I have this issue on several different ISPs in two different states. It may have to do with what I subscribed to on the forum options, but other than that I cannot find a consistent link.

Hi John;
Interesting. That cuts my theory out. [:)]
What you are saying about the forum options seems to be the only variable left. I'm not sure what I'm subscribed to on the forum (didn't know there was an option), but it is just the default I guess. My forum load time is in line with what others have stated, with Chrome being the slowest.
So, now question will be "What is the difference between your forum options and those who are not experiencing a speed problem?".
I'm willing to help work through this with you if I can be of assistance.

I've noticed it getting slower lately too. I'm using Chrome. Takes 6-9 seconds for me on a good day. Upwards of 15 seconds on a bad day.

Guess the issue is with the website with most browsers. I don't use iE.

I get the forum entry page quickly; in fact too quickly, when I'm trying to get another site and hit the wrong button.
But I have my java and cookies turned-off and no images. Straight text.
If I do a reply (and thus have to turn the java/cookies on), then it gets stuck almost every time. I found hitting the stop/reload is far quicker. So (for me) the issue appears to be in the page call, with the browser doing a direct call much faster. That sounds impossible.

Just following up... I used IE on Win 7 and get "waiting for community.logos.com" Please advise as to the status of this matter.
Thanks

Just adding clues, after I type a reply (like now), and 'Send', it hangs up. However if I open another tab and check the forum threads, it's there (the reply). So at least some of the hang is the page re-draw. I'm on Opera.

It feels like they went back to libronix code for the forums.
