What happened to the March Madness Overtime Deal?

I received a promotional email earlier in the week because I had purchased some resources during the March Madness sale.  I checked the price (which I'm assuming included dynamic pricing) but did not purchase at the time because I wanted to look at the individual resources I would be getting further.  But now when I check the price, it has gone up $10.

Does anyone know why the price changed?

Thanks,

Ron

There was something wrong with the pricing to start with (possibly the discount was absolute rather than proportionate) as my package gave a price of $29 with a $29 saving, so I picked up ten books for free. I guess they fixed that.

It was notified to those who brought march madness offers in an email, it was not available without the email.

Interesting!! My email came in as the sender being 'Logos Personalised Offers'. That apparantly means it is a general email for those subscribed for these offers.

It was built and priced as a "sampler", to give you an idea of what some sets might be like (usually not any of the "key" volumes in a set)..... there have been several similar over the years, usually offered for only a short time....

I never received an email but it showed up on my Logos homepage. I wasn't able to sign up for the March madness emails because my email address was 'banned'. They were going to fix that issue or something according to an earlier post.

Regardless, I have no idea which new volumes this would add to my library and I'm not going to go through all 60 books to see which ones I don't have. Logos really needs to tell you which vols will be new to you.

Lastly, I don't appreciate being made to feel special - as if this deal isn't available to the general public so I should jump on it, right. We're all equal before Christ and I don't appreciate playing marketing games with a Christian 'bookstore'.

For those who go in on this great deal - don't forget to read your new books!!

LOL...you don't appreciate feeling special?? That's a new one....I'll have to remember that.

All equal before God? So, does that mean "the 24 elders" is a position that has a rotating schedule? What's the tenure? A week? A year? A millennium? Longer? Does that also mean that after the 12 apostles have a run with their names on the gates of New Jerusalem that I'll get to see my name on one of the gates, too? And what are the ultimate implications of this? Are we all suddenly Universalists now? Does the Remnant now encompass everyone?

Anyway, I don't mind playing marketing games with Logos. I just wish they would give me a game that makes sense for me to play.

Sales can give you a detailed list of all the volumes that are new to you. Give them a call or send an email.

The problem I have with that step of the process is that those people have quotas to meet and commissions to earn. I really hate having to bug them about this fundamental request. I wish there was a button I could click that would tell me what I need to know.

I went through a few of the titles. Lots from SPCK. Lots of Anglican based books. I've been seeing a lot of Anglican based stuff from LOGOS lately. Maybe a doctrinal shift, maybe a new market to sell to . . . Makes me have to look a lot closer at anything they're promoting.

Welcome to the forums. Yes, Logos has been making a substantial effort to meet the needs of the liturgical churches - new base packages for Catholics, Anglicans and Lutherans with Orthodox promised. On the non-liturgical side they've added 7th Day Adventist and Reformed base packages.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Yeah, it just seems a little difficult when they're bunched together like in this latest "after March madness" promotion. Makes it harder to buy a big collection like that, because you feel like you have to check every book. Just a comment.

by the way, are you the same Micheal Smith that just posted on the e-bible forum about Martin Luther saying the phrase "Salvation by Grace Alone"? Just wondering.

    God bless

They changed its name to "Pre-summer Pack" which was a little disappointing.  Here I was all excited to the possibility of adding extra new books to my library, but alas! it was the same MM Overtime deal I decided not to purchase a couple of weeks ago.  Oh well, hopefully "pre-summer pack" implies there will actually be a different "Summer Pack" coming soon.
