I Can Sign In But Won't Activate

Hi,

I got Logos 5 Bronze for my PC at work, and I downloaded in for my Mac at home. Both work fine.

I have since upgraded to Gold and added some books to my library (BDAG, etc). I also bought a new Mac for home.

The PC upgraded just fine. But when I went to download Logo for my new MAC, and it asked for my serial number for the Bronze, I put it in, but it won't "Activate." I'm given the choice of "Activate Now" or "Activate Later." Since my serial number won't work, I choose "later", and it says I have 16 days or so left. The Logos on my new Mac is definitely linked to my account at logos.com, so I don't know why its not recognizing it as mine or upgrading with the Gold upgrade and the other books I bought.

Any ideas?

I wouldn't have expected a request for a serial number when installing the software - it should just be tied to your account details.

Are you sure you are using the latest version of the Logos software?

Suggest you try installing it again using the link at https://www.logos.com/install

Hi Graham, thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, the same thing happened. I uninstalled the Logos I currently had on my Mac and downloaded a new one from the link you gave me. It began to "sign in" and then it asked for the serial number from my Bronze edition. I put the number in, and it wouldn't activate, and I had to click "later". I guess I'll call technical support.

By "uninstall," you simply mean that you deleted the software engine. You didn't delete all the resource and database files, did you? Try pressing and holding the command key immediately after trying to start the app. This should allow you to sign in with your credentials (username and password).

Removing application (engine) does not delete Logos 4 folder in your Library's Application Support.

If want to completely uninstall Logos 5 on OS X, wiki now has => http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5_Tips_and_Troubleshooting#Uninstalling_Mac_OS_X
