Is there a way to set up Text Comparison so that more than five translations can be seen in this window?

    Hi Paul

I'm not sure what you're speaking to?  Here's one of my Text Comparison panels (I use several in a layout).  Note I'm using a tag from my library (Bible_English). I could also have used a collection.  I'm guessing you might have 5 Bibles typed into the 2nd text-box?  You can put in more, or a collection, or a tag.

Or ... you're talking about horizontal layouts?

Denise, thanks for your response.  I can see that I was using the default of "Top Bibles" which seems to limit responses to four or five.  Using "my tags" is much more helpful.

I do have one follow-up question -- is there an easy way to get the Bible versions to appear in an order of my choosing rather than in alphabetical order?  That is, say, NRSV, ESV, NABRE, AV, or something like that?

Manually typing the abbreviated titles is the only way.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Texas groups was 'Asleep at the Wheel' (who were invited to Oakland in 1969 by Commander Cody and His Lost Planet Airmen ... ah the good old days).

Not to conflict with Dave's always excellent advice, the trick is to rename the titles on your Bibles.  If you notice my sample above, they're not in alphabetic sequence.  Below is from my library, where the Bibles are listed, and I put a short tag on the front of each title (e.g. CTH = Catholic, KJV, etc).  Optionally, I could have added a translation year (which I think I'll do).  This edited title doesn't show in the comparison panel but is used in the sort.

This not only keeps everything easy to analyze, but the sort is used by Logos in many places ... dropdown menus, on my mobile, etc.  So for example I also put short tags on the front of all my commentaries, so they're sorted by book of the Bible and always appear first.

EXTRA: Notice, if you're not aware, also the short title that follows the long title in the Library info box. That can be edited too. This is useful for controlling the title in the tabs (which are sometimes hard to read).

So very grateful for the responses and the assistance.

I went ahead and tagged my most used Bibles.  I then prefaced each one with a number according to how I'd like them to be ordered.  Seems like it's working like a charm.  Thank you Denise and thank you Dave.
