mac version of logos wont copy and paste again , it baffles how such a expensive app wont do basic things, i been on the phone for possibly two hours and finaly got it to copy and paste into pages , as it wont do it into word , now it does not do it in both again , is the problem that the mac version is really not been built from scratch for mac , it concerns me for christians spending all there savings on something that fails to do basic things , i have a friend who was thinking of buying it and he is struggling financially what if he spends £1000.00 on something that dosent copy and paste , it really concerns me ,

I've never seen this. Which version of Mac? Which version of Logos? Which method to "copy and paste"? Have you restarted your Mac? [Ugh! With Logos, sometimes it's a must [:(] ]

done all of the things , went through about two hours on the phone with screen control, its back where it was , i am concerned think the mac version maybe does get the time and care to be sincerely the same as windows , its just sad for a poor christians who spend all there money on it only to find ot does not have the simple function of many free apps like copy and paste i appeal to logos conscience ,

Your problem is unique. Other Mac users do not have this problem. Alabama asked for information. Could you please supply that—What Mac OS? What version of Logos?

i have been through hours of it already , just got the old version of pages working , but just usual word dosent , thank you for trying to help , its just last time i lost lots of time awnsering lots of questions but the people asking them , were in the same place as the support at logos when they shared mac screen it took about couple of hours for them , two sessions as the first session did not work , we manged to get it to work with the old version of pages, but not word , the old version just worked again , the logos is 5.2a sr -4 the mac book pro is nearly brandnew and updated OS X 10.9.3 (13D65)

I Start Logos 5.2a SR-4, Open ESV, do the basic CMD+C ... Start MS Word for Mac 2011 (14.4.1), do the basic CMD+V ... seems to work OK

Please elaborate about copy and paste ? What is being copied and pasted ? (allow other Logos users and employees to replicate)

Microsoft Word on Windows handles right to left text correctly, but not on OS X.
Logos handles right to left text correctly on OS X and Windows.
For word processing on OS X, LibreOffice is Free => https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/
LibreOffice has settings for Complex Text Layout, which can be useful for Hebrew:
LibreOffice also handles foot notes and is an option for Logos Copy Bible Verses:
Caveat: using Logos 5.2b Beta 1 am experiencing "Copy and Paster" not working with LibreOffice 4.2.4.2; clicking Copy, switching to LibreOffice Writer, and paste does work.

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty. As for copy and paste, Word 2011 has always worked but there was a time when Apple released the new version of Pages where that capability was lost. Scripting was left out of the new version but was added back in after several updates from Apple. You can now do copy and paste from the "services" menu of both Word and Pages although the manual method works as well. I'm assuming you were referring to the loss of copy and paste from services since the Control C and Control V method always worked. If you haven't already done so, update Pages and Word to the latest versions.
By the way, Logos has no control over developers when they make changes to their apps and in the process functions that worked before are broken. That goes for Windows as well as Mac OS X. Have a blessed day.

Copy and Paste of Hebrew text from Logos to Word for Mac 2011 does work correctly, as this screenshot from Joel 1:2 demonstrates. I have even been able to mix Hebrew (r-l) and English (l-r) on the same line, but that does take a bit of experimentation. This is a great improvement over previous versions of Word for Mac.
BTW: CBV also works correctly with L5 and MS Word for Mac 2011.

I've seen similar behaviour on my MacBook with Mountain Lion but with Word 2011.
Usually I can cut and paste into Word using Command-C/V. Sometimes however, the keys stop working and I have to use the Edit Menu to paste into Word.
It has happened from Logos I believe but usually it's from Safari or Firefox. When it does happen I have to shut everything down and reboot. Next time it happens I'll see if it affects Logos.

Learned Word 2008 (12.2.9) and Word 2011 (14.2.2) show HALOT copy and paste in correct word order, but footnotes leave a bit to be desired. In contrast, LibreOffice Writer 4.2.4.2 numbered HALOT abbreviations for footnotes (albeit superscript 7 in HALOT is different):

thank you your care and time, short cut does not work , i like to use copy and paste from the box as i may copy about four verses at once , it works with old pages again , and i am just downloading libre office ,once again thank you giving me your time and help
