Hey guys, I read the posts on spitting the screen, for the IPad but still am not able to split it. I have held my finger down on the slider button, nothing pops up for splitting, I have swiped up and down. Nothing. What am I missing? Thanks.

Hi Arthur - and welcome to the forums

I have held my finger down on the slider button, nothing pops up for splitting,

When you refer to the slider button do you mean the button outlined in red in the screenshot below?

You need to be dragging the quarter-circle at the bottom-right outlined in blue

I can't find a quarter circle. When I drag the circle you have boxed in red - it does not turn into a quarter circle, nor when I slide the full circle from left to right it does not seem to change in size but only advances or backs up the text on the screen.

    I can't find a quarter circle

    It should be:

    • at the very bottom of the screen in either the left or right hand corner (if in landscape mode)
    • at the far-right of the screen in either the top or bottom corner (if in portrait mode)

When I drag the circle you have boxed in red - it does not turn into a quarter circle, nor when I slide the full circle from left to right it does not seem to change in size but only advances or backs up the text on the screen

The circle I outlined in red simply changes position in a resource - it doesn't split screens.

You need to find the quarter circle which I outlined in blue in my original screenshot - bottom right

Finally got it. Thanks Graham! It helped to hold the Ipad in landscape to see it, and then I was able to see in portrait at the top. Obviously, I am just starting to take the time to learn the features.

The next thing I want to do is quickly be able to change translation views. Now that I can split the screen, do I have to always scroll through the library to open a different translation/book, or can I save my top bibles some how to bring them up quickly?

    Excellent

Obviously, I am just starting to take the time to learn the features.

And please feel free to post back with questions about the use of Logos software

The next thing I want to do is quickly be able to change translation views. Now that I can split the screen, do I have to always scroll through the library to open a different translation/book, or can I save my top bibles some how to bring them up quickly?

    A number of options here:

When in a particular Bible translation you can "swipe up" on a verse and select "Compare Versions".

This brings up another panel with your top Bibles in that particular verse. You can then tap on one of those Bibles and it opens.

Alternatively, from the same screen you can choose "Add to Favorites". This then puts the verse in your "Mobile Favorites" which you can access from the "Tools -> Favorites" menu

You can use the "Tools -> History" menu to get back to recent places you were reading

If you tap on the small "i" icon you will open a further panel showing all the recent places you have been in that resource

Another option if you use Logos 5 on the desktop. That allows you to tag resources - http://wiki.logos.com/Tagging - and these tags can be used to filter the library on your iPad. In the screenshot below I am filtering on a tag I created which has my main Bibles associated with it

Hope this gives you some options to try out
