Would like a way to mark a thread as "unread"

If I check a thread and one of the latest posts in it generates a "to do" item for me (e.g., "a bug that you reported has been fixed in such-and-such a beta version" and I want to verify that it's fixed) but I don't have time to do it right now, I'd like to be able to mark that thread as unread so I'll be reminded to come back to it later.

This is exactly why I start climbing the walls when forum e-mails don't show up in my inbox. I can't archive or mark or colour code something that isn't there.

I would go completely bonkers if I had set any threads to send me email when someone replies. I'd get so much email I wouldn't be able to breathe! And that would defeat the purpose of it. No, personally I'd rather keep track of threads I've been involved in by going to the "My Discussions" page and seeing when new posts had showed up on those. Then I can easily review all the new posts at the end without having to get an email for every single new post. Some threads are incredibly prolific and the volume of email would be unbearable. How can you stand it?

Given the time it takes to load a webpage, I find it faster. Plus I only get the forums I want, while the webpage is full of Proclaim and other threads. Plus, like I said, it's the only way I can keep track of things I want to keep track of. Anyway, I was just trying to show sympathy for your needs. The days without e-mails have shown me just how much I go nuts when I can't find threads I wanted to get back to, because they're all marked as 'read'.
