I can't access your log file, but see my response to your original post at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/85182/597179.aspx#597179.
Thanks Dave! i also found this (after I did the system check and all was fine) and it worked..this error code was coming up for other installs as well:
Solution for internal error 2503/2502 on windows 8 as follows1. Goto TaskManager > Details > Explorer.exe & click on End Task.2. Now Click on File in Task Manager > type Explorer.exe ( here is the trick ) Check the box below shows as ( Create this task with administrative privileges.)3. Now install / Unistall this should work 100%.
Even though it's a workaround, something smells fishy. There shouldn't be a problem with administrative privileges, at all.
2. Now Click on File in Task Manager > type Explorer.exe ( here is the trick ) Check the box below shows as ( Create this task with administrative privileges.)
I didn't recommend this because it is a trick as you may have to repeat it for every installation. In the long term it would be better to Refresh your installation of Windows.
yes, the same error codes are coming up with this newest update (6/4/14). Is there something in my settings that is causing this or is it in the updates? Prior to these last 2 updates, I never had this issue. Thanks in advance for any help to resolve this.
Scott
I don't know how/why but it seems that the MS installer has insufficient privelege so you could attempt that solution (C:\Windows\Installer is a system folder and can only be viewed via Control Panel >> Folder Options). Otherwise, a refresh of your Windows installation may be necessary.
