BUG: PG section disappears

(May require Verbum set to Yes.)
1) Run a Passage Guide.
2) Add a Sermons section.
3) Change the passage and run it again.
>> The Sermons section has disappeared.

Adding a section to an instance of a guide doesn't change the template for that guide. If you want Sermons to be a permanent part of your guide, you need to create a new Guide Template that includes it.

But what if I don't want it permanently, but do want it for a particular task on a particular day?
I agree it should disappear when I close the PG or Logos, but it shouldn't disappear in the middle of a session. Once I've added it, I'm more likely than not to want it for the next passage as well.
Plus I really thought this was how it used to work (not that I use the PG very often).

No. It was always a one-time showing. So add it to the template and close the section when finished.

I just ran a test. First I created:
- PG Joshua 1:1-9 removed all the Bible Facts sections
- PG Joshua 1:10-18 no changes
- PG Joshua 2:1-7 added sermons, thematic outlines, theme
Second, I closed all the PG's.
Third, I opened them again
- PG Joshua 1:1-9 opened with sections still removed
- PG Joshua 1:10-18 not saved; recreated
- PG Joshua 2:1-7 opened with sections still added
Fourth, I refreshed each of them at the Guide level - I usually refresh at the section level in real use. Refresh Guide runs updates even on closed sections so the time involved is annoying.: There is no change in the sections included in the PGs.
This is why one "expects" a section to remain when changing the passage. What is not obvious without reflection it that Logos treats the changing of the passage as a "new" passage list.
Fifth, close PG Joshua 1:1-9 and 2:1-7. Then change Joshua 1:10-18 to Joshua 1:1-9 - it will open with the sections still removed i.e. open the saved PG without comment. Then change Joshua 1:1-9 to Joshua 2:8-24. One does NOT get the overlap warning which I got on all PG's when created them but one does get the standard PG template i.e. the customization is lost.

Too confusing. Did you open 3 separate tabs? Do they all have the same template?
The original discussion is concerned about the durability of an additional (Add) section in a PG after another passage is entered.

Yes and Yes.

Specifically addressed as to why fgh has her memory and why Logos behavior is predictable but not obvious.
