If any of you were going to do a systematic study of the life of Christ, what sources would you use? Thanks in advance. How would you use logos to accomplish this?
Your question could cover a lot of territory. If there is a particular area of interest associated with his life (e.g. commands of Christ) one is interested in, then one could start with that area. I guess if I were focusing on the person of Christ I would try to consider both the humanity of Christ as well as the divinity of Christ.
As for specific resources and tools, the biblical people feature is often a good start when doing a character study. As for specific resources, I do not know what you have in your library, but you may want to check this out

Thank you for the response. I was thinking along the lines of a systematic study or chronological study to go through the entirety of his life. In essence, a study of his life examining the four gospels.
How would you use logos to accomplish this?
One way to use Logos is filtering Library for:
subj:Jesus subj:biography
Another Library search is:
subj:Jesus subj:prophe
Can search Heading Text; Large Text; Title in Logos for articles:
(Jesus,Christ) WITHIN 7 WORDS (prophet, prophecy)
Thankful for Mark Barnes => Huge encyclopaedia: The Dictionary of Christianity and the Bible
Topic Guide has "Life of Jesus" with suggestions for Sermon Starter Guide (SSG) and Search. SSG includes Topic Guide suggestion for Christology
Keep Smiling [:)]
A good resource would be the Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels. It has some great articles.
Another good resource would be Jesus and the Gospels by Craig Blomberg.
Both of these sources can be found at Logos.com.
Good luck.
This is all quite helpful. Thanks
I like the Chronological Life of Christ. This places all the Gospels together and in Chronological order. Here is a sample:

Lk 3:4–6 with Mk 1:2–3
[LK 3:]4
As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet:
[MK 1:]2
"I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way"—
3
"a voice of one calling in the desert,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ "
[LK 3:] 5
"Every valley shall be filled in,
every mountain and hill made low.
The crooked roads shall become straight,
the rough ways smooth.
6
And all mankind will see God’s salvation."
All three Synoptics quote from Isaiah 40:3. Luke also includes Isaiah 4–5 (omitting 5a). Mark prefaces Isaiah’s words with a quote from Malachi 3:1 (and Exod 23:20), predicting the coming of Elijah. The Jewish people expected Elijah to return before the Messiah. After all, he never really died (2 Kgs 2:11). Malachi 4:5 predicts his return in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. Jesus applies these very passages to John (Mt 11:14).
Someeveral of the Gospel Harmonies are in chronological order, I believe.
Editted [:$][:D]
Two Harmony examples:
By the way, Logos search of All Text in library found nothing for Someeveral, but internet search found someeveral examples.
Someeveral
New word? [:D] (Sorry, sometimes I just can't stop Jack from silly posts)
New word?
Yes. It means an amount between "some" and "several" - you know I like precision.[;)]
I recently discovered a resource which as far as I understand, is in all Logos 5 packages which means you should already have it in your library:RECORDS OF THE LIFE OF JESUSBook I: The Record of Mt-Mk-LkBook II: The Record of JohnByHENRY BURTON SHARMAN, PH.D.Honorary Lecuturer in the Department of HistoryYenching University, Peking, ChinaHARPER & BROTHERS PUBLISHERSNEW YORK AND LONDONSharman, H. As presented above, there are many resources available for you Life of Christ study. I have done this study many times and for me the key was to determine which resource was going to be the driver in the study. The Chronological Life of Christ by Mark Moore is one I enjoyed several times through.
I have also used Jesus Christ the Greatest Life as well as several of the Harmonies.
I created a layout and Passage Guide that I then use to other resources applicable in my study. Below is a screenshot of that layout.
I hope your study is fruitful!
I came across this thread regarding studying the life of Christ. What resources would you use in studying the life of Christ? What guides or tools would you use? In an looking at a comprehensive study of the life of Christ. A couple of resources I am considering are "The Life of the Lord Jesus Christ (4 vols.) by Johann Peter Lange and Marcus Dods and The Life of Christ: A Historical, Critical, and Apologetic Exposition (3 vols.) by L. C. Fillion.
