iOS 8 Keyboards and Touch ID

With iOS 8 supporting third party keyboards, are there any chances of seeing more "Biblical Language keyboards" coming to iOS?

Also, will Logos ever support Touch ID on iOS 8 so we can login to our iOS account with our fingerprint? :-)

Thanks!

maybe to the first, but why to the second? The app is designed to sign in and be done with it. I think it is fair to say "no."

Yeah, I don't quite see how the second would be useful. As for the first, I have no idea if we'll ever be making our own keyboards, but the nice thing is that any developer could make a Biblical language keyboard that works with the Logos apps. (although Android has had this ability since the beginning and there's never been much interest in it, as far as I can tell...at least not on the forums)

I am a strong believer that mobile devices shouldn't be used for ALL of the same things as computers and vice versa. They also don't have the same computing power, storage, etc. With that said, they are becoming VERY powerful. I am not an OL person... I do well with trying to speak English well... but I could see mobile devices being more useful for those studying original languages in the future. A regular computer (laptop or desktop) has a fixed keyboard. With a mobile device, you can add customized keyboards, which I think would be great for those doing OL work.

The second was more a joke, unless Logos wants to appeal to secret agents. They can't sign in the "regular" way. They can only sign in the "super neat secret agent way". :-)

I didn't have any custom Biblical Language Keyboards installed on Android except for installing the stock Greek/Hebrew ones, as well as on iOS, I just have the stock Greek/Hebrew ones enabled, so I'm not sure how much of a difference the ones Logos or another Bible company would produce, but now that the door is being opened, it'd be interesting. A miniaturized version of Shibboleth for iOS or Android might be interesting, as well as some of the other ancient keyboards like Logos has for Windows.

imageThere's an app called Hebrew Notes that has the vowel points missing in the regular iOS Hebrew font.  It's great, but unfortunately it works only in the app (something iOS 8 will obviously fix)  But it's likely that it won't be updated for iOS 8, since it doesn't look like its had much update.

I really hope that Logos makes some good keyboards.  There are minor differences in Greek with accents as well, so it'd be great to have the rough and smooth breathing accents in iOS.
