please bid closer to £140 - to get this in the "reasonable zone"!
A high quality resource - sorely needed
Shalom
Done
The only possible way i see is if logos would delete this resource and repost it with a minimum bid increment of $150 or higher. Otherwise, it is a dead end
My bid has been $150 gor over 2 years.
Awesome resource, well worth the $150, perhaps much more.

Same goes for the Bampton Lectures. Unbelievable resource. Needs price bump.

Perhaps the only way this will get through is if Logos decides to subsidize the cost of producing it with revenues from other products. Then maybe they'll recoup their costs somewhere down the road. Or maybe not. But they will have done a great services to Christian scholarship. I know they need to stay in business too, so only if they can squeeze out some profit from somewhere else to apply to producing this. But it really would be great to have it...
The sensible thing for Logos to do first when resources get stalled in CP would be to send out an e-mail to all bidders, advising them to raise their bids if they want to see it produced. Instead Bob writes a post on the forums once a year or so, which reaches far to few of the bidders to be very meaningful.
This would be such a great resource but it sort of reminds me of the delicious 5th Ave Deli club sandwich I am trying to eat right now ... it's just too big to consume at one sitting. Many have suggested/requested breaking it up into smaller, bite-size pieces (the resource - not my sandwich). And that's a good idea except one runs the risk of not getting all of the pieces produced.
Perhaps Logos would consider producing this in two parts - not in length but in terms of production. Phase one: All volumes, text only, no hyperlinks, correct only the most egregious ocr errors ... it will be a 'dirty' but inexpensive (relatively) resource. At least users would have the full text to consult/browse. Phase two: The 'dirty' text goes back into CP in order to raise enough bids so the set can be cleaned and hyperlinked.
Stop at Phase one if all you need or want is the quick, dirty, and inexpensive version. Proceed to Phase two if you want or need all of the bells and whistles.
Finished the sandwich and I hate myself ... I ... just ... could ... not ... stop!
That's the best suggestion, JRS!
sounds like what you are suggesting is that we make it a Vyrso resource first, and then later they can convert it to Logos via cp/pp if they so chose. I'd be down for that...

In essence, yes. But even if it weren't up to Vyrso QC standards in terms of its ocr output, I could put up with that as long as it gets out of the starting gate!
Bids are closing on August 14. Current price is $50 for 443 issues.
I dont understand this bidding process. I already own this product. Why is it on CP?
Isn't this included in the Master Journal Bundle?
It looks to me like the 443 issue CP resource is all issues from 1825-1929, while the resources contained in the Master Bundle, according to that web page, contains 27 vols. (1903–1929).

I looked closer at the set under CP. If you scroll down through you will see that they had different titles along the way. Biblical Repertory, then Biblical Repertory and Theological Review and so on. I suspect they are all included in the Bundle but did not try to compare all of them.
I think you are right.
Came here to see if anyone else thinks this is a good deal. It's about to end at 50.00? Anyone excited about this?
They appear to all be included, but it would be nice to have a confirmation from FL.
UPDATE—Just added the ones in these screenshots. Either I have missed some, or they are not all included.

They must all be included. I own the Masters Bundle and the CP page for this is grayed out saying I already own this product. It would make no sense for that to happen if I did not own or will not be getting all the resources when available.
I also have the Master Journal bundle and CP was grayed out. I kept waiting for the CP page to "heal" until I finally got smart enough to realize that I was trying to buy something I already had.
I checked pretty carefully. I think everything in this CP is in the Master Journal Bundle. Until someone tells us for sure...
I think everything in this CP is in the Master Journal Bundle.
Yippie and skippie! At a hair over 11 cents per is/sue, I think it's worth a gamble.
I kind of suspected this might happen in the same way the Gill CP worked out. Now if they would put all of the English Bible Collection volumes (not just a couple or three) in one of those massive collections or packages, we could drive real close behind that truck and sail into another sweet CP deal.
I think everything in this CP is in the Master Journal Bundle. I think you are right.
The Recommendations panel at the right hand side of the CP page confirms that it is included in both Master Journal Bundle and Theology Journal Bundle.
So do you think it's safe to take off our bid for the Princeton Theo. Review 400+ issues if we have the Master Bundle on pre-order?
Yes. But to be safe, do a screen capture of your account showing that you ordered it at the given price.
Thanks Lynden. I cancelled the Princeton CP, and the button swith to gray "you have already ordered this product" since I bought the Master Bundle on "ship as available". I remember they had 2 options at the time, pay now and get issues as available, or pay when it's all ready.
I don't believe you would be charged twice even if you didn't cancel your order.
A confirmation on how this overlaps with current journal bundles would be helpful!
I believe we were once told to cancel the cps and prepubs if we ordered the packages. At any rate, I am assuming (and it really should be true) that if you have the Masters Package, you then have everything.
Princeton Theological Review, was downloaded Today for Master's Journal Bundle!!
They are now in Logos
Mine downloaded this morning too. [:)]
? please for one of you has them. Do Princeton Theological Review volumes show up in you library as a icon for each volume or just 1 icon and it shows all volume under it? I think it says there are 443 volumes and I am concerned about having to scroll through the library; my thumb can't take it.

It is a separate icon for each volume -
Thanks Bruce.
Quite a while back I asked for a way to hide resources from my mobile device but not the desktop. I still think that would be very nice. Then again I doubt that I would want to have to go through and mark 400+ items.

Personally I don't think I would use this but I can see how others might. I'm not sure what it would take from a technical perspective to make this happen.
Then again I doubt that I would want to have to go through and mark 400+ items.
I've been disciplining myself to tag every resource in my library and the recent download will give me something to do in the next day or so.
I don't know why mine said that it will ship in September? Anyone know?
Mine says same thing, not sure.
FWIW, mine downloaded yesterday.
Got this for $50 from the CP but I deleted it because it comes in the master journal bundle which I will be getting later.
I'm seeing the same thing. I believe it's because I've purchased this as a separate resource, and not as part of a package. I believe folks who have already bought a package that includes it receive it immediately. Those of us who bought it separately through community pricing wait a few weeks.
I just got an e-mail saying it's scheduled to ship 9/1. Go figure.
Princeton was posted years before the Master Journal Bundle (MJB) so it makes this a bit tricky, but not overly so.1. With dynamic pricing—which applies here—you'll never pay for the same content twice.
2. The MJB is by far the better deal. This will give you the most for your money.
3. If you bought the Ship as Available option of the MJB and did not cancel your Princeton bid, Princeton would be dynamically priced at $0.00 since all of that content is in the MJB. So you don't need to do anything.
4. If you pre-ordered the MJB, are waiting for it to ship on 9/15, and want to keep the Princeton journals as a stand alone, the MJB will be dynamically priced based to account for your ownership of Princeton when it ships. This will not maximize the value you receive.
5. Unless you really want Princeton two weeks earlier, I strongly recommend that you cancel your bid on Princeton.
6. The only people Princeton benefits as a stand alone product are those who:
If value is what you're looking for you should pre-order the Master Journal Bundle.
Again: if you have pre-ordered the MJB AND have an active bid on Princeton you should cancel your bid on Princeton.
