Homepage Quirks

As the screenshot below shows, I do not have Verse of the Day checked, and yet there is Psa. 91 staring at me. I also notice that that monster-sized graphic doesn't appear to be related to any of the check boxes in my Customize menu. Why not? I don't want it there; it just takes up space. I thought this kind of stuff was taken care of a long time ago. Please remedy this.

The control of whether or not a biblical passage - in the format you are seeing - is not controlled by the "Verse of the Day" selection (that relates to a formatted image tied to a specific verse) I get a biblical passage as soon as I turn "My Logos Messages" on

From experimenting this type of image seems to appear if one (it doesn't seem to matter which) of the blog options is turned on! Can you verify?
Agreed it would be good to have finer / clearer control of this

Yes, Graham, I do have both regular and academic blogs turned on. I don't understand why Bible verses are included in My Logos Messages--I would expect that subject heading to include company communication to customers. If other folks desire to have excerpts of their library strewn across their homepage, that's fine--to each his own. I have exactly what I want from my library open in the program. I just want my homepage to present Logos company and product-related info. I don't want my library trespassing on my homepage. I should be able to click a few boxes and "make it so".

If you turn them off do the images disappear?

I agree - I was just trying to understand exactly what is going on here

A homepage image from a dictionary, encyclopedia or similar resource has been a fixed feature of Logos 4/5 from the beginning. We've never had control over it. We also cannot turn off at least one devotional - so I have five devotional prioritized to shove it off the page.
