Trying to Understand Distribution of Posts to "My Faithlife"

I hope some of you can help me understand how widely posts to "My Faithlife" are distributed. It looked to me that if I made a new post to My Faithlife, that it would be seen in the My Faithlife pages of all other people that are in various groups with me. Is this correct?

Another question is regarding posts that I can see in My Faithlife which originated in one of my groups. If I reply to that post when I'm on My Faithlife, I would expect that that reply would be seen just in the group page as well as the My Faithlife pages of the other group members, and not broadcast to all members in all of my groups. Is this also correct?

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

    Hi Eric,

Your account has a setting where you can decide who gets to see your posts to My Faithlife. Check out the attached image. You are basically correct that your posts to My Faithlife appear to people with whom you share groups. With the setting, you get to limit the distribution based on the privacy of the shared groups.

Regarding replies to posts made inside a group: the visibility is based on the group's settings. For example, administrators of open and closed groups' can set their group newsfeeds to be fully open to the public. On the other end, groups can hide their newsfeeds from Followers and Observers so that only Members, Moderators and Administrators can see.

    Thanks for using Faithlife!
