I was excited to download my Feasting on the Word lectionary commentary.
But I was disappointed to find that I cannot link it with my lectionary (RCL), which follows the same 3-year (A,B,C) cycle.
They do not share an index type in common. RCL is indexed only by YearMonthDay (2007-2016), while Feasting on the Word is indexed by Page, Bible, and Bibliographic Item. Actually, I'm not sure what a "Bibliographic Item" index is good for. I can't figure out anything acceptable in that data space to try navigating to.
Is there not a universal reference type for liturgical day? I should be able to navigate in both resources to something like "2nd Sunday after Epiphany"; if I could do that in both, they'd be able to link up together.
While we're at it, how come the RCL is limited to 2007-2016? Since it's based on a repeating three-year cycle, I ought to be able to go to any date. But it would really help to be able to navigate to a day of the liturgical year, regardless of what day in the calendar year it falls on.
