Losing position in notes document when returning to Logos apps

I use a couple of Logos apps (Bible! and Verbum) for preaching - using a split screen with a Bible in one part of the screen and a notes document in the other. I use both apps as I set up one for the morning service and another for the evening.

As I will often be working through a biblical book and my notes are sorted by bible reference, the relevant note for the day is normally towards the bottom of the notes document and that is how I leave the app setup. An example (using Verbum - 4.3.0) is shown below:

As you can see (shown from the task bar) the notes document is positioned to just above the note on Psalm 97:1-2.

However, if I have not been using the app for "some time" when I go back to it the notes document is repositioned at the top as shown below:

"Some time" is difficult to define. I notice it most Sunday when I set up the ipad in the morning (around 9am) and then come to use the app in the evening (around 6pm). If I just leave the app for a short while (maybe 30 minutes) and then come back to it the position in the notes file is still as I left it.

Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Thanks, Graham

My guess? The note document scroll location isn't synced or remembered... Only that was opened. The reason you experience the "sometimes where you left off / sometimes at the top" is due to your iPads allocation of memory. It isn't about time as much as it is "did the iPad need enough memory that it forgot about the Bible! App."

i experience something similar when I am writing a FB post while multi-tasking. If I get too risky, the iPad removes it's focus from FB and the note is blank when I return. The reason that this isn't true in some other apps (such as pages) is because it is saving as it goes. At least, that is my understanding/guess.

That could be it, sounds plausible, Thanks

If so, it would be nice if the app maintained knowledge / state info of the note position internally - I don't see a need for it to be synced
