French version
Could be great if Reftagger support french version of the bible like the Louis Segond version.
Thanks, great Job.

I second the motion! I run a website publishing daily content in French and Reftagger in French is exactly what we need!

We haven't officially released it, but you can try out the French version of RefTagger by doing the following:
- Grab the HTML snippet from reftagger.com
- Replace "ESV" with "LSG"
- Replace Reftagger.js with Reftagger.fr.js
This will not only display references using Louis Segond, but it will also parse French book names and allow you to use a comma (or period) as the separator between chapter and verse.
If you try it out, please report any bugs here.

Thanks David!
It's up and running on our blog and looks good! Example here.

It would be great to get the two modern versions on the site: SG21 and BDS. How would you add a French version to the wordpress plugin?

We haven't updated the plugin yet, but you can use the manual method (described here: http://reftagger.com/wordpress-tutorial/) and then make the changes I specified above.

Je suis d'accord. We are in discussion with the publishers about various modern translations. Those kinds of things do take time (get the rights, fund, and convert to Logos Format). It is very much a high priority I can assure you of that.

Reftagger now supports the Segond 21 (change the code to "S21" that is found on fr.reftagger.com)
We will update the site later.

Hi David,
Two small bugs in the French version:
1. The book of the prophet Isaiah isn't recognized when we use the proper accent: its Ésaïe or Esaïe, but not Esaie. the "ï" seems to be the problem.
2. If you look at this article on our blog (http://notreeglise.com/comment-traduire-yhvh ), the reference to Joel 3.5 in French is Joël 3.5, but reftagger sends us to Joel 4.5. I know there are differences of numbering for Joel 3. But since we're using the S21 translation, the numbering should correspond to the S21, right?

Just saw the above response today as I was trying to get reftagger to work on my joomla site. Retagger works partially with French version S21 now but it does not understand some of the French names for books of the Bible as Stéphane Kapitniuk comments below. However on the Biblia site the book names are recognized if they're entered into the address bar so Biblia itself is recognizing the names, just not reftagger on my site. found my solution on my own! do I hear 3 cheers?
Here it is:
the code creator on the english site did not add in a little suffix that makes the app work with the French book names. The fr.retagger.com site gets it right.
It seems essential that the line <<g.src=>> reads <<g.src = "//api.reftagger.com/v2/RefTagger.fr.js";>> the english code creator missed the "<<.fr>> for me. When this is added in all works well.

No, you hear 4.
+1 I'm glad fr.reftagger.com was of service to you. We hope that es.reftagger.com;& de.reftagger.com will be of use for others as well. And we intend to be working on Chinese,Portuguese, and Korean as soon as we have the rights to make the Bibles available for Reftagger (or PD Bibles available).
